    MotoGP : 2011 Season

    The testing for 2011 MotoGP season is already underway with new riders from Moto2 & WSBK..

    Witness historical switches by Valentino Rossi to Ducati & by Casey Stoner to HRC. Ben Spies taking up the factory ride this year with Yamaha, Cal Crutchlow to Tech3 Yamaha from WSBK Yamaha team, RDP & Loris Cappirossi changing sides to Pramac Ducati from LCR Honda & Suzuki respectively. Kalio & Aleix Espargaro going to Moto2, Hiroshi Aoyama to San Carlo Gresini Honda with Toni Elias coming back home to MotoGP with LCR Honda.

    First test session began yesterday at Richardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain.

    Following is the rider line-up for 2011 (Shown through the timesheet of Day 1):

        hope VR gets everything right on the Desmo right from the start of the 2011 season.

          BTW guys was nt the 3 cylinder Inmotec Spanish GP bike supposed to be tested in these tests ?

          And I have a slight feeling 2012 could see KR stuff back !

              Inmotec provide further details on MotoGP project | The Official MotoGP Website

              Inmotec showed the bike to press last friday. Though they say their Moto2 bike will be ready for track by march 2011. As for MotoGP, they want a team to use their bike, don't think they'll form a team of their own. Maybe coz it involves lot of money to run a team.

                I'm wondering why Rossi has put that question mark, has he commented on it during any interview, any news about it?
                Not worried about the timings at all cause he always starts like this and from the video it's clear that he was not pushing at all and moreover the settings might not have suited him. But then just cant wait to see what the doctor is going to do with the 'extra horses'

                      Edit: I mean I am not saying two-strokes should come back but what if the privateer teams (aka CRT, Claiming Rule Team) could come up with an engine/prototype which can outrun everybody else on the track really interesting, ain't it?

                          Stoner has indeed got very comfortable on that Honda, pretty quickly..

                          But.. whats up with Tony Elias, he's slower than Rookie Karel Abraham on a bike he's familiar with!

                              I agree and understand that very well...

                              It's just that he's too far off the pace, almost 2.6sec slower & he'd raced RCV before.

                              Winter Session will be held on Feb 1,2 and 3.
