  • Nice race:...., happy for Vale....SAD for Dani and Spies

Simoncelli was completely in wrong....Dani was ahead and on inside line.....

    From Motomatter's tweets

Pedrosa, clean break of collarbone and probably won't need surgery to fix it
Reason for SIC's penalty: He left PED no room, nowhere to go. Overtake was tough, but closing door was punishable. PED nowhere left to go.
Stoner is having attitude issues....punching De puniet....

yea. Dani & Sic were both pushing hard.

Marco is going to be the "poster boy" for safety talks in the next few weeks.
Dani just pushed hard..Simoncelli went nuts and pushed harder and harder! What a prick, really! If Dani sits back, then he definitely is out of competition from the championship battle.

So,it's gonna be between Stoner and Lorenzo. In which case,I call quits from MotoGP.
On a serious note though,I just hate to see both of these on podium..

      Waiting for Ped's medical reports..

i'm waiting to download the race.

coz Dani pushed hard... maybe a lil too hard too?!?

I'm not saying that doesn't make Sic's move "wild"... waiting to "review" the footage.

if Marco waited a few laps... i'm sure he would have managed a clean pass.

sad for Dani. hope he recovers soon... don't think he'll be back for Catalunya tho.

Dani didn't pushed hard, yaar. He had the inside line while Sic chopped his front from outside. When you will watch it over and over again, you yourself will come to know.Every one agrees that Sic was at fault.Motomatters,Edwards et al,they all believe that Sic was too desperate to be ahead of Dani.Poor Dani had room at all!

EDIT: Latest tweet from Motomatters:- Inside or outside is a big difference. Inside, the other rider can go outside. Outside, you leave the other rider nowhere to go. Outside passes much more dangerous.

The #27 has got serious attitude issues now. In QP I saw Aoyama following Stoner when suddenly Stoner stopped after realizing he's being followed and moved aside gesturing to Aoyama as if he's saying "go on your own, don't follow me."

here is teh video....Randy saw Casey coming and moved to the side...perhaps he thought Casey would pass him on left(his left)....casey ends up behind him....brakes hard...and punches him while passing.....Randy apologized later saying that he was in the way.....but the race direction found the physical retaliation a bit too much..

                • All hell has broken loose over simoncelli-pedrosa incident

From motomatters and Julian ryder tweets
Hector Barbera: "Look what happens. He only loses 10 points and Dani maybe 2 races or more. This is not right. Marco doesn't change."
Julian Ryder: Leaving the track 30 mins ago saw Simoncelli, still in leathers, being marched to the HRC truck. Dani would have been points leader...

Superb comment from CS27 about €5,000 fine. "At least Race Direction made a decision, which is rare" !!
The crash on lap 18 of the Le Mans MotoGP race could have serious consequences for Dani Pedrosa. The crash, caused when Marco Simoncelli cut across Pedrosa's bow entering the Chemin aux Boeufs esses, leaving Pedrosa nowhere to go but into Simoncelli's back wheel, saw Pedrosa flipped off his back and land heavily on his right-hand side. Pedrosa got up clutching his right shoulder, and was taken to the Clinica Mobile where X-rays diagnosed a broken collarbone.
According to various media reports from the track, the break is a relatively clean one. This is good news for the Spaniard, as it offers his best chance of recovery for the next races. But the bad news is that Pedrosa could be forced to miss at least one race, the next one being his home race at the Montmelo track in Barcelona.

well i don't feel it was a wrong pass.. though it can be called as a stupid move but there's a difference between both. i feel that Marco came on the outside of DP and as he was too wide braked hard whereas DP was not able to do so (obviously he would have seen Marco coming) and ended hitting at the rear wheel... though i do feel for Dani.. he's one deserving rider and would have been in last year's championship fight if not injured.. hope he does not have same fate this season...

on the other hand i do feel that jorge's move on dovi was a bit hard....

                      • The 3 biggest jokes of the race, in no particular order:

                        1. Stoner slow-punches DePuniet to say "yo yo yo, why ya blockin' me? Ride fast holmes!!".
It had me ROFL almost! And of course, for that punch, Stoner's pocket is lighter by 5000 Euros.

                        2. Rossi being so happy with the 3rd position, that he kisses the podium girl. Is he the same guy who won xxx number of races and championships, now so damn happy with 3rd? Now, I know Ducati and all... but so damn happy??

                        3. Simoncelli travelling impatiently through the pit lane at 72 kmph and watching rivals get ahead.

I personally feel bad for Dani... Come on man, its been 10 years! And he couldn't get the championship so far, despite being that damn good... Hayden, Stoner, Rossi, Lorenzo, all got their fair share...

And now he is fractured. He was ahead of "Sic" on the short straight, but Sic made the outside overtake at the S-Curve (first left then right), due to which Dani had no space to lean towards right, recovering from the left lean.
There was contact as Dani had no space, and while Sic just ended up travelling a little bit through sand, Dani and his RCV just ended up rolling into it.

Sad. Very sad thing to happen. Simoncelli should chill down desperately, although I do respect his fire to win.

                        • What an eventful race today! Even the 125cc and Moto2 were quite eventful.

Simoncelli's pass was incorrect, he should have waited for a better opportunity than this. When Pedrosa had already taken an inside line and was seemingly ahead of him, the collision was inevitable in this situation. And not everyone is Rossi who can pull off such a move!! They both were too close to get out of it successfully!

Anyways, Stoner won today and but he seriously needs to watch his attitude with other riders.

Lorenzo got his mouth shut today, loved it

Extremely happy to see Rossi on podium today, it's a very important result. He might not pose a serious challenge this year to the championship (you never know with him though), but today's result would have boosted his team's confidence also as much as his They worked hard with new changes on the bike and they got the result today...jhakaaas

                            his ambition outweighed his talent.

maybe coz he became the 4th guy to get podiums on three different makes.

also... he's been used to racing & winning for 230 GP races for 15 years straight.

                            - it's almost one year since Rossi crash at Mugello.

                            - he's been used being 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the championship since 1997.

                            - he crashed at Mugello... missed 4 races... still managed to come 3rd in the championship.

                            - he's made winning a habit... for him, it must have been like going cold turkey.

and considering the fact that he's prolly realized that he'll do better in the races this season...

i'm surprised he didn't kiss stoner on the podium.

maybe he didn't want to be punched in the face.

                              • Well that was an awesome race! Sad move by Sic on Dani, pity him. Good news is at the most he'll just miss one race. Still in contention for the championship!

Rossi, rossi, rossi! Seeing that jubilant satisfied big SMILE on his face after a long time, bet he didn't expect it.

Stoner needs Anger management lessons. That punch on RdP was uncalled for. Nevertheless, congrats to him on his winning.

That was the first time I have seen Lorenzo crash after a long time (WUP), confessed he would be happy if he got a podium which he didn't.

Great riding by DOV, Repsol Honda running away with all glory

Good catchup by SIC after that penalty, but a bit aggressive for my liking.

There was this awkward moment when the champagne was given to the winners Rossi and Stoner didn't come face to face at all. Just sprayed some in his direction and thats it.
RIP Marco Simoncelli! You will not be forgotten!
