Some of the best lines were:
"For Spies and Simoncelli, it's the equivalent to carrying an extra weight that's not far off a bag of cement. But there are also obvious advantages too for the bigger guys in that they're inherently stronger and able to wrestle the bike in and out of corners with greater ease than their 'weaker' rivals. Though I use the term 'weaker' in a MotoGP world level that is still way ahead of mere mortals who watch from the sidelines.
A heavier rider is also stronger but can also move his weight around the bike fore and aft to aid anti-wheelie or traction, while a lighter rider such as Pedrosa has less weight to affect the attitude of the bike with.
Putting it into percentage terms, Pedrosa weighs 25% of the package while Simoncelli weighs about 33%.
"
Also,if you(Simoncelli and Rossi) want to compete with lighter and weaker chaps, cut on your cheese yearnings and include salads to your diet..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

He he he don't think these guys have anything more to lose from their bodyOriginally posted by shivank View PostAlso,if you(Simoncelli and Rossi) want to compete with lighter and weaker chaps, cut on your cheese yearnings and include salads to your diet..
These guys are "small" compared to any other sports people though converse for the "lighter" guys can be possible
Very well said here in this comment:
Number Crunching: How Much Of A Factor Is Weight In MotoGP? | MotoMatters.com | Kropotkin Thinks
If you ask me these subtle advantages (or disadvantages) make the sport unpredictable which in a way is good. If they want everything to regulated then they can very well replace the riders with bots which will weigh exactly the same....Doesn't it seem that the amount of time gained through cutting weight is made negligible by the time still available in the corners? I'm all for a good thought/science project, but it feels like there is so much more to be gained in optimizing the bike.. the riding position.. the racing line... etc, before weight becomes an obstacle.
That being said, I'm all for some of these guys putting on some pounds. When I first saw these guys at Laguna Seca several years ago, I was shocked.. shocked! at how small they were. Television can be deceiving.
Or else try this as suggested by Dennis Noyes:

Honda tests its 2012 machine...
Honda?s 2012 MotoGP bike on track in Japan | MotoGP News | Apr 2011 | Crash.Net
Following Ducati's high-profile debut of its 2012 MotoGP racer, in the hands of factory stars Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden in a test at Jerez on April 8-9, Honda has given its own 1000cc prototype a more low-key shakedown.
Few details are known, but motogp.com reports that HRC test rider Kousuke Akiyoshi and former 500cc race winner Tady Okada steered the as-yet-unnamed machine during a private test at the Suzuka Circuit on April 14-15.
It is not yet clear when Honda will let its MotoGP riders try the bike, but Yamaha stars Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies are set to make their debut on the 2012 M1 in a test straight after the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello in early July.
Suzuki's 2012 racing plans are not yet known and, having cut back to just one bike for this season, it is far from guaranteed that they will decide to participate in the new era.
Although the maximum engine capacity for 2012 will be 1000cc, compared to the present 800cc, it remains to be seen if all factories will chose to use the full capacity due to the limit on cylinder-bore size. This has been introduced to force the use of longer-stroke engines, which rev less.
A new breed of independent 'Claiming Rule Teams' will also be created to try and boost grid numbers for 2012. The CRTs will enjoy fuel tank capacity and engine-change concessions relative to the factory teams.
Any new manufacturer entering the MotoGP class and not being selected as a Claiming Rule Team (for example BMW or Aprilia) will be allowed to use 9 engines instead of 6 for their first season.
