  • Lorenzo's condition is aggravated due to his finger injury which caused him to end his racing season prematurely.

Whoever isn't European would have to struggle more. Not many sponsors from their own country as not many viewers for this sport in those areas as compared to Europe. An Italian/Spanish sponsor would obviously pick a rider of respective nationality.
Talent alone isn't sufficient for this sport. Very evident from the condition of Stoner's fellow countrymen (West and Vermulen) who don't even have a ride despite they are better than riders like Passini, etc.

    • ^^true..,

well the test is over.., with no improvements in times posted earlier...,

Honda & Yamaha seem to be at par.., while the Ducati seems to be improved but still far behind.., lets see how this plays out.., the rider interviews should give a clue...

      • Hilarious tweet from VR:
the third day went pretty well, I finished fifth behind the two Hondas and two Yamaha factory.

LOL who else is left other than all the satellite bikes (CRTs intentionally not mentioned) and an injured teammate. Heights of optimism

The prospect of a confident Lorenzo on an improved Yamaha going up against the might of Casey Stoner on the Honda is an attractive one. Lorenzo was unfazed by Stoner's fast time - "Casey is fast even with a bicycle, no?" he told MotoGP.com, "He is fast with anything, it's normal," - pointing out that while Stoner made his fastest time in the morning, when conditions were ideal, Lorenzo had set his fastest lap at lunchtime, just as the heat was really starting to take its toll. The gap, Lorenzo implied, was not as big as it seemed, adding that he felt that the Honda and Yamaha were fairly equal in performance.
Looks like the Yamahas are very satisfied with the winter job

            • Just saw the MotoGP piece on Score Tonight. The way Lorenzo speaks sometimes puts a doubt on his technical knowledge of the bikes. Rossi as usual, "Fo shure, yeah..." (I have imitated his voice so much that I end up starting conversations with For sure, yeah )

              • Colin is really impressive on the CRT.
RdP and colin would definitely challenge a lot of satellite bikes later in the season.

I hope rossi wins the championship this season
Giving a lot to a fiero.

And somehow woke up at 5 a.m. today...., turns out that Scott Jones was running a game on his FB page..., he would post a zoomed/cropped image and ask to recognize the rider/bike/part(similar to what briggs does on twiter...).., quite a lot of fun..., try it...

                  • ^^ Sad for Marquez. From tweets, experts are saying that there is something serious going inside when the team is saying "he is recovering positively". Hope he recovers and comes back soon.
Edit: checked out the photos from Scott Jones. Those were too difficult to guess

Some good articles on Suren's favorite website Soup . One from there:
Soup :: The Small Man Suffers? :: 02-03-2012

Dani P looks to be off Hondas favorites understandably after last season. The 800 was designed for Dani and this favoritism led Nicky take Ducati factory ride. But not this time...

Just a thought for 2013! if some other manufacturer steals Marquez then who will coming in as Stoner's teammate? On the Satellite we have Bautista and Bradl. They would have to produce something very special to get that seat (highly unlikely). Otherwise Dani P should have his factory ride.
He he he I know I know too early for 2013

                      • ^^funny...,

from GPone: hayden has to undergo surgery on shoulder.., has damaged muscles and cartilage

he year 2012 has begun rising for Hayden, injured his left shoulder while training with the bike for dirt track forced him to conclude in early testing in Sepang and the U.S. will have to undergo a new operation tomorrow. From Malaysia, the U.S. flew directly to San Francisco for a thorough check at the clinic of Dr. Arthur Ting and glli tests performed have shown damage to the cartilage of the shoulder joint and muscle damage. This has necessitated a new surgery that will be further examined his condition and treat them accordingly in the most effective. "Clearly another operation at the beginning of the season is not the best thing that could happen - said Hayden - The new tests show that I could not drive effectively in Sepang but I'm happy for trying because, at least, we realized that the shoulder problem was bigger than it seemed at the beginning and then we can act quickly to treat the affected part. These things are part of this job will be met and then trying to get fit as quickly as possible. The commitment and effort that Ducati and the team are putting in is absolutely the best and this helps me keep up the spirit and confidence for this year. "

                              • He's with Repsol Honda.
He'd have to face the maximum PR obligations there ever is.

Remember Rossi's drama at the end of his reign with honda ??

He'd give a lot of info from the inside but within all the limits unlike Colin who really doesn't give a damm, happen to hear his interviews from the sepang tests.
He speaks out everything about everything without worrying, indeed a guy with real big balls.

I think colin should become a commentator after retiring, Motogp would be more fun.
