  • Re: MotoGP 2013 Season - Updates

Who's riding bike number 45? Looked new to me. Might be someone testing a new machine?

Update: it's Martin Bauer from S&B Suter. The guy's Austrian. Anyone heard of the team? I guess they are here for testing. Never noticed them in any other race this year.

Less than 24 hrs remain from crowning MM the new Motogp world champion ;-)

The last lap by Marquez did not look fast at all. Dirty as hell... slipping and sliding all over the place and STILL he was lightning quick and gaining every sector... wtf is that sorcery? o_O

Just wondering, what if there is a points tie after the last race of the season? How will the championship winner be decided or will it remain a tie?

in that case, the one with more race wins wins the title..if race wins are equal too, then the one with more seconds gets the title..and so on.

Correct. Right now, Lorenzo has 7 wins as opposed to Marquez's 6. So, If there's a tie in points, Lorenzo wins.

Clicked this just as MM was about to go over the finish-line at Sepang.

I just can't imagine what it would take for a rider to "out-ride" Marquez in the next few years.
No doubt there is some great talent coming to the premier class,
just hope that they're given the chance to ride factory machines.
Because that's the only way anyone's going to beat this guy.

I was sad to see Stoner go last this year... but WOW, I'm really glad he "retired".
The next 5 (atleast) years of MotoGP won't be the same coz of MM.

CS is the ONLY guy out of the current crop who could really give MM a run for his money.
Maybe Stoner can replace Pedrosa and 2014 will be an even better season. (I'm kidding. No Seriously)

But yea... 2013 has been the best season of MotoGP in years.

Here's to the fastest crasher, the quickest lapper, the record pole setter, the youngest winner, the overtaker of overtakers,
And in all likelihood, the 2013 MotoGP World Champion. MM is VR 2.0.

seeing as how JL has, at the moment, more wins this season than MM on a somewhat inferior bike (as a whole package), and (cleanly) beat MM on a last lap tussle at one race, beat him (MM) hands down at honda's most favourable/suitable track in a manner MM basically had to surrender, and has fiercely battled with MM whenever he could as much as possible, i'd say JL has very nearly given MM a run for his money by raising his game a couple of notches....JL on an M1 with somewhat more stable late-braking capability MAY have been a very different story.. on an equal bike, i am not so sure which of them will beat the other more...ifs and buts i know, but so is imagining that CS would have been the only one capable of giving MM a run for his money, more so since CS was not so good at scraping out which racing against MM almost always entails... :-)

also, imo MM is not VR 2.0 for several reasons...as VR himself has said a few times this season, MM seems to be quite "better" and in quite a lot of different ways..

So soon? Let MM first maintain his awesomeness consistently for 4-5 years at least.

And more so, no one was expecting MM to shine this much. I am sure the likes of JL and DP were taken by surprise. Their strategy will be different next year. JL will be on a blast from Qatar itself. But the other variable is that MM is only to get better and better

So one hell of a season ahead. Might probably be the last year for VR46 too!

Exactly, its easier get on top than maintain the top position. MM was a surprise for all this year. But next year other riders would have video footage to study MM which means they will be prepared for his tricks...lets see if MM can handle this fame for long...but yes, he is the kid to watch for.

Red is slowly replacing Yellow in the circuits.
