Big news:
It's still 2 years away, but Aprilia have announced a full factory entry in 2016. Can't imagine what they will do since the CRTs are already beating up the Ducatis.

I guess Ducati might just take an exit before that situation of "Pounding by another Italian" comes into picture

came to post the same article myself too...am so happy they have officially declared it and seem to be determined to work for it...for some reason i really like aprilia and seem to really root for them (havent even seen one in real life though)...

think they are (and should) rather aiming to beat the hondas and the yamahas, because beating ducatis is more or less a given, lol :P

the last 2 years (2012-13) has been particularly embarrassing for ducati's racing programmes as a whole...been in shit in motogp since at least 2010-11 (but not too good before 2011 either), and went to shit in SBK in 2012-13 as well (did alright in superstock though)...the way nothing seems to improve with them, it seems even the suzuki will probably beat them in 2015 if ridden by a capable enough rider.

Can't wait for the Valencia race weekend to begin.

- The reigning MotoGP champion vs the Reigning Moto2 champion.
- Yamaha vs Honda.
- Rossi helping Lorenzo. (Rossi vs Marquez)
- Pedrosa helping Marquez. (Pedrosa vs Rossi)

MM pretty much has it in the bag if you ask me.
It's his to lose, but considering he's NEVER been off the podium when he's finished a race...
well, here's hoping he finishes.

I personally don't think this is a right time to play gamble, especially with such a big prize up for grabs.

Not sure about that. He's said recently that he wants to win the race in Valencia.
Lorenzo's got nothing to lose. Marquez is gonna have to fight for it; the pressure is on!
Rossi is the wildcard here. :-)

Actually JL's got a lot of work to do. Marquez can actually take it "easy". All he has to do is finish 4th. AND not crash.

If he takes it easy... and "let's" Lorenzo or Pedrosa win then we'll have
1. Lorenzo/Pedrosa
2. Pedrosa/Lorenzo
3. Rossi (The only way VR is finishing up infront of MM if he pulls off another Assen) but Valencia isn't one of VR's fav tracks anyway.
4. Marquez becomes the 2013 MotoGP World Champion anyway

this is going to be one heck of a race.

And we all know that Valencia is not one of VR's favourite tracks.

Exactly.

The way I look at it. Honda tells Pedrosa to go for a win in Valencia, with that he will keep Jorge on his toes and since Jorge has to win, he will be the one taking chances. All Marc has to do is ride sensibly and not crash. If he finishes the race he is gonna be the 2013 champ.

I am curious to know how the new hard tyres that bridgestone is planning for the Valencia GP is gonna affect riders/bikes?

Let's not forget that MM is just 20 years old! This is his first season in MotoGP and he now on the cusp of winning not just the championship but making MotoGP history!
There's got be some pressure! Anyway, let's see how plays out. :-)

I like the hayden's helmet.... Really good one...

And its good for rossi to say that he will help lorenzo.. But at his current level of performance..its a far fetched dream.

And thinking or praying that lorenzo, pedrosa, rossi all 3 will finish ahead of MM is again just wishful thinking..


And if rossi is actually able to finish ahea of MM, it will confirm my personal theory that rossi is currently riding an inferior package than jlo
Because isn't is surprising that rossi is able to improve his performance for one race.. Whenever lorenzo or yamaha needs it.

The introduction of new tyre may become a base of lot of blame game later on..

if a rider's bike is inferior to his team-mate (or the contrary), the responsibility of that rests almost entirely on the respective rider's crew, because why would a factory supply inequivalent packages to their riders ? doing that is a major corporate risk, not to forget taking a huge risk on its reputation and hence marketing values if the story ever gets out...if a rider's inability to ride as fast as his team-mate is mostly down to his bike seemingly inferior than his team-mate's, then more often than not the most probable reason for that (in addition to the said rider possibly not being able to adapt well enough) is his crew not being able to hit the nail and setup as best a bike for their rider's needs as possible...:-)

team yamaha has particularly needed rossi to run as fast as MM to try to block him from lorenzo for at least the previous 2-3 races, so if they were indeed supplying him inferior bike previously but later on decided to give him an equal bike when they need him very much more than usual to help him being as fast as the other 3, they'd have already done that at latest by aragon or sepang.

Lorenzo, Pedrosa AND Rossi finishing ahead of MM is a far fetched dream too.

#93 has never finished off the podium all year, and he's not about to start now.

Marc Marquez is fearless. And the last thing he'll do is take it easy at Valencia.

I say it's going to be MM or JL who's going to be on that top step of the podium on Sunday.


And I don't believe Yamaha's been short changing VR with an "inferior". NO WAY!
They'd never be able to pull that off with anyone, let alone Valentino Rossi.

precisely..no factory will risk doing a thing like that, if not for caring for ethics then just for the sake of not risking destroying their reputation on a global platform, with any rider..most certainly not with the most popular rider in the sport who has the maximum international marketing image.
