    Re: MotoGP 2014 Season

I have been following SK69 from his 2010 season when he became National Champion. Then his short stint in 125cc Championship back in 2011 and racing in Italian National Championship for Mahindra Racing in 2012 and then again CEV Spanish Championship for 2013 for team Monalu Competetion (the team that promotes young Spanish riders MM93, AR42, AM12 list goes on) with the backing of a senior cinema actor from Chennai before he had to abandon it due to a severe crash that resulted in chest injuries and return home.
Currently he is training for Asia Development Cup in 2014.

He is a prospect but no proper funding & backing for him which shows us of the state of affairs of motorcycle racing or for that matter motorsports in general in India.

Coming back to MotoGP, I want to see what NH69 can do on that Honda. If he can mix it up with the top guys it will be a pleasure to watch.

Looking back, Rossi simply gave up his position to MM even before C1. He knows how painful it is to miss a title. That statement to help Lorenzo a few days ago was a pure bull shit. Everyone knew it.

Bautista under normal circumstances 'd have attacked MM. But, he was wise this time. Pedrosa did what he did to Hayden in 2006, dive up the inside. MM was careful enough to pull back and let him pass.

Rider of the day was Lorenzo, without a doubt.

AB19 was not willing to lose his ride for 2014 I guess

Yes it'll be the same team setup like in 2013 between Staring and Bautista.

But I want Scott to get a prototype to show his potential. I personally don't think pol is better than Scott.
Exactly what I thought too, Scott deserves the RCV213V too! I think it's going to be relatively easy for both Scott and Pol to get going today but the most interesting thing to watch out for would be how Cal tries to tame the ill mannered Ducati: Loads of complaints or is he going to surprise everyone, Only time will tell!

Guess who's topping the charts after the 1st 40 min.

It's Martin Bauer testing a Yamaha (not sure if it's the PR or M1)

He is the only one running..

Waiting for the testing to begin and fingers crossed to see how the 2014 M1 is performing also the open class bike whether they are close enough to the prototypes

Oh, so now all of a sudden everyone can do low 1:32 laps when they couldn't do mid 1:32s yesterday in the race? Even the Ducatis are doing low 1:32 laps :\

Edit : Pol Espargaro will destroy Bradley Smith next year from the looks of it.

Re: MotoGP 2014 Season - Updates

Yeah it's so sad..I guess no one wanted to play any role in the fight at the front, not even Rossi. I was just expecting Cal to do something be he went down early.

Look at Jorge's lap times (not in any order) during the 1st 10 of the race:
                    1'32.652
                    1'32.694
                    1'32.332
                    1'32.534
                    1'32.783
                    1'32.640
                    1'32.054

                    all above 1:32

And then Rossi's lap times in the 2nd half:
                    1'32.183
                    1'32.412
                    1'32.388
                    1'32.123
                    1'32.218
                    1'32.265
                    1'32.031
                    1'32.300
                    1'32.668
                    1'32.231
There is no justification that he couldn't ride it faster in the 1st 10 laps.

Crutchlow riding that Ducati rather well. Only 1 tenth off Dovi's time.

i find it rather weird and a suspicious affair that rossi has already so soon been able to appoint a new crew chief...

and that would have meant something if dovi was riding the ducati well/competitively

From the news I think Yamaha appointed him. That makes me think if Yamaha had any role to play in moving Burgess out.

i have thought that to be a possibility as well...but more importantly, what i find weird and suspicious is vale saying he made the decision just last week and didnt want to take any step before telling JB face to face about it...but then, he did that just on thursday and by monday he had a new crew chief...so i think he probably had made a decision much earlier, or at least seriously started contemplating taking the step much earlier than just the last few races...because it takes time to find appropriate crew chiefs, meet them, talk to them before even thinking of officializing it..and clearly yamaha had played some role in supplying potential candidates quickly enough to rossi so that he could meet and greet with them before taking the actual decision..

unless of course, silvano was rossi's personal choice from before as an alternate crew chief and yamaha and rossi didnt really have to spend a lot of time finding potential candidates (still the whole process must have taken more than just a week)...either that or yamaha and rossi decided to at least start finding potential crew chiefs some months ago (as opposed to just last week) just to keep options open but rossi must have been still not completely sure at the time about all this and then later on (i.e., last week) he finally decided to chuck burgess and take silvano in.
