  • Re: MotoGP 2014 Season - Updates

The last corner 2013 Moto3 Champion Maverick Viniales is fastest overall by day end in the Moto2 testing in Valencia. I would back him up again this year.

Looks like I have a lot of catching-up to do. I don't even know the names above mentioned (been cut-off from all this for nearly 4 years now, getting back now)

      Ride safe and have fun.

        • Re: MotoGP 2014 Season - Updates

Got some news here, for some it might not be news.

Yamaha are already concerned about fuel efficiency, Honda on the other hand are considering open class for Marc if he's fast enough (to me it doesn't look feasible). Honda currently is a very efficient motorcycle and can beat the M1 on most tracks, unless the rider has a say in it.

All teams are using spec ECU (hardware), they are free to use spec software or their own software. Factory Yamaha, Honda most likely will use own software while Ducati is considering spec software, which gives them the leverage enjoyed by open class machines to use 12 instead of 5 engines along with 4 extra liters of fuel and develop the engine mid season. Yes, so teams using own software cannot develop the engine once the season is underway, no changes what so ever with the engine (that's a big one).

The reason why Ducati is considering this is because their bike is still not up to competition with the front runners and for them, not being able to develop the engine is like stealing crutches from a physically disabled person.

Marquez breaks a leg in during dirt track training. Will miss Sepang, but be back in full form at Qatar.

            Luck runs out?

it's a shame. all that insanity last year and no broken bones. and now this.

it's a clean break tho. so this shouldn't really be that much of an issue. but who knows.

I'm sure the "sharks" would smell the blood. This is the worst part of being a champion, you've always got a bull's eye on you.

Lets see who's the best of the rest this time.

With the mindset of Marc and his age, he's not affected by anything. Remember the shoulder injury at Silverstone? He just doesn't stop for anything.

This is only on one website, but lets see tomorrow if we get anything more on this.

All riders have been reporting about issues with the new 2014 tyres, especially the soft compounds. They say it doesn't have enough grip.
