ducati going open is basically showing HRC (said to be the huge majority of MSMA) the middle finger haha :P

as for test times, as with any other tests in the past, these times dont really mean much shit if those times are of just one or two laps...if at all anything that really matters, it's the race pace (and no one has been able to achieve those fastest times multiple times on a consistent basis in this test) and if one sees the analysis pdf sheet in motogp website, it's clear dani pedrosa has had the best race simulation of all (MM93 not counting of course) and then comes lorenzo about one or two or three tenths slower than dani on an average, which is not too bad considering how he's had the worst issues with the tyres all the time and he has never been the fastest or near to it at sepang ever (be it the races, QPs or tests)..after that it appears dovi (on his open ducati bike) and aleix had pretty good race runs and bradl not too bad either but several tenths to half a second or more slower than dani or jorge...rossi didnt do any race simulation it appears, the reason of which is unknown...

as such, that one-off time of 1.59 of rossi and dani and they making within a tenth of that just once or maybe twice makes that time pretty much useless and meaningless as far as race conditions go...

Why do I have the feeling that if Lorenzo was on top, tests would have actually meant a lot.
