Did anyone see Chris Vermeulen interviewing Hayden at the start of the race? Sad to see such a talent and a Motogp race winner doing this!
Young riders pick a destination and go, Old riders pick a direction and go !

Didn't he decide to retire due to his Knee injury? To be a pundit/coach/manager is the most logical thing to do for ex-racers, I guess.
Bajaj Pulsar 150 : 2004-2005
Honda Dio : 2005-2012
KTM 200 Duke : 2012-

He had a major injury few years back but as far as i know he dint decide to retire rather he wanted to be back, similar to another awesome talent John hopkins. I just believe with a heavy heart they just decide to "sit out" for the rest of their lives

Hayden had a crash this season where his wrist got broken and Carmier came from WSBK as his backup for 4 races. So I guess Hayden has made a wise choice.

Also as far as Lorenzo's tire goes in this race, he was the race winner here last season and he would know which tyre to go with the race. Moreover, there were some tire issues last season which Dylan had informed before the race that they were rectified this time for Philip Island.

Moreover, even Rossi had X-Soft compound, but he had a better control on the front end. I guess it was the sudden increase in the temp that may have caused so many riders to lose their front and crash. It was awesome to see Rossi win, but I wish Cal finished the race too, that would have given an extra 5 points edge to Rossi over Lorenzo

The tempr at certain parts of the track went down - exposed to the ocean and a few riders eased off; thus, taking the heat away from the front tyre. That's why there were so many crashes. And partly, the tyres didn't hold up so well.

Wonder how the season 'd have progressed had MM didn't have the luxury of winning all the races in the first half of the season.

A 3-way or 4-way battle to the championship! What a pity!

Bit of a shame that AEsp smashed his bike's screen after getting involved with Bradl's mishap.

Yes thats true, there was a lot of wind blowing that day and caused the temp to go down!! Slick tyres weren't slick anymore :P

Agree, that guys is always animated for every little reason. As if he is the world champ and other slow riders keep coming his way and not letting him smash all circuit records!

After the crash Marquez really wanted to restart his bike, but couldn't find the keys...

Err, he was looking at a possible 4th place finish on an Open bike (would have been his equal best dry result). PI was one of the only few circuits where lesser power isn't a total handicap. It's quite fair that he was frustrated for getting knocked out of the race for no fault of his own. One doesn't have to be a world champ to be frustrated due to circumstances like that. As for his talents, he definitely is doing an incredible job. The BT Sports commentators keep forgetting he's an open rider because he's always mixing it up with factory bikes (i've heard them say quite a few times that Redding/Hayden was the top open rider when AE had actually finished way ahead of them). Sure, it's not good for the show that he exhibited his anger in the way he did but I'm sure everyone understands.

I think, except for one man and of course, his fans, the whole planet wanted Cal to be second that day. Quite a disappointment.

It should be hot in Sepang - tyre degradation can be an issue. Pedrosa might keep spinning his rear tyre when he opens the throttle and Lorenzo might find it difficult to find the maximum edge grip. I just hope so. Perfect weekend!

And just what The Doctor ordered!

Caught the last 4 laps of Moto3. What a cracker! Miller is a tough cookie.

He rode very well. I am looking forward to his debut in MotoGp. He does have what it takes to scrap fairing with the big guys.
Maverick Vinales too ran a fantastic race. However I am sceptical about his Suzuki debut in Motogp. I feel if you do not stay competitive for a long time you lose your form. Suzuki no doubt is a factory team, but they wont be competitive for 2015 season atleast. Hope Maverick stays focused and is able to atleast get to podiums.
In that sense Rabbat has made a smart move in staying back in Marc Vds Team. No point in getting into lower rung teams in MotoGp. Staying competitive is the kwy.

Tyre tyre tyre - decisions! Brilliant run by Rossi and MM as superb as ever!

chinmayakar yeah, Miller is a proper boxer. I think, Vinales has a huge potential. He shall stick it well.
