all i can say for the schwantz image is... good lord look at the position of his body.

how the heck did he manage that? masterclass.

but neither of these are instances of a rider recovering from a front tyre folding in.

    superb stuff though.
    .

The old 500's were much lighter than the current MotoGPs. That explains a lot.
Marc's feat was a freak, I think. Probably due to a set of circumstances and causes impossible to replicate -- but one of those was, for sure, his huge natural talent. He's a cat.

Another possible cause is the set of unique gyroscopic controls that admittedly have been ported from Honda'a Asimo robot into the electronics of the RC213V. These "attitude electronics" are aimed at making the rider's work of controlling the bike easier. Maybe they helped Marc's talent...? see this article:

I'm pretty sure he will win at Silverstone again.

Wow!! Thats amazing...How did he do that?? He obviously did something to overcome that, but he may not reveal it. It could also be his reflex action. The front almost entirely gave way..

Me too felt disappointed at Marquez's loss. All the last 10 races were never boring with others trying to beat Marquez. Hope he goes on to win every single race of the season and break the records.

ha! that's crazy. the first thing i thought (jokingly) to myself when i saw MM's save was "ha! gyro tech".

i doubt the gyro system can do anything at all once a rider loses the front tho.

so this is probably marquez' inner ear gyro. mad stuff.

I wouldn't rule out a little help... Asimo can recover balance even after being strongly pushed one way or the other, after all.
That in a bike would translate in throttle inputs - the first decision to open the throttle rather than closing it was Marc's, no doubt, and that made the save possible; but then Asimo may have helped in fine tuning the actual response.

Gresini in trouble. Might not be able to come up with the funds to run a satellite Honda. Either will run a production Honda or will run two Aprilias. Marc VDS Racing might move up to MotoGP and take the satellite Honda and Redding with them. Confirmation expected at Silverstone.

In other news, Jeremy McWilliams, the 50 YEAR OLD, will be racing in Moto2 as a wildcard in Silverstone. Rossi suddenly seems childlike in comparison

HRC will plonk in RC213V engines into their production racers from next year. Should be interesting given that it is doing well at the hands of Redding at some circuits even with a lower acceleration and top speed. With soft tyre and more fuel, it should get faster enough to challenge "satellite" riders.
@Makky - Damn!! See if you could pass on my approval. Sorry to be late though. Did he give any hint or possibilities about next year's plans? Do ensure he's with a factory team when he switches

Well I had an accident in April, since then have been busy coming back to top fitness. Moreover had a change of role in office so that's had me really busy. Apart from that, I bought Dainese Leguna Seca suit, Alpinestar SMX boots, installed steel braided brake line, stomp tank grips and a Leo Vince slipon. In short was busy prepping my bike for the track

Btw, also got a rain light installed, not exactly but on the same lines as Motogp
I've been following all the races, just not posting here. Last race is what I have been waiting for the past 6-7 months, i.e. Marquez not winning. And to add cherry to cake, he finished off the podium for the 1st time in MotoGP.
From my side to Marc - "Welcome to MotoGP"
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Its easy to react in calm way when you are leading the championship by huge points, he can afford to drop some of the points. It would be interesting to see his reaction in tight title race and loosing on vital points in crucial race without his faults.

I think Marquez winning the championship is a foregone conclusion. Winning 11 races in a row is something no one's achieved in the history of Motogp. That's a big deal and he had every reason to be pissed off (also remember he's just a 21yr old guy not an old wisened racer). Honestly, I am in awe of this guy.

John Surtees: 11 wins on a streak
                        Mike Hailwood: 12
                        Giacomo Agostini: 20!

John Surtees is the only one in the history who has won both motorcycle and car world championships: 4 and 1 respectively!

Oh yes! I didnt realize it. The record of winning 11 in a row.

He will have to wait till next season for it. And yes true, I had been critic of he being dominating force this season and I had been moaning this season being monotonous and boring. But even I am in pleasant surprise to see high level of concentration for longer time. Realizing it he is just 21 makes it even more astonishing.

Marquez might still run into trouble at Silverstone but, his run to championship is well on course. A future legend, certainly.

Looks like Pedrosa and Lorenzo are inspired by Rossi's move of changing his crew chief. Pedrosa did get into a mix at Brno during the presser and now, Lorenzo is in news for the same reason too.
