I understand it was only testing the prototypes. But still, I'm very curious to know how were Stoner's lap timings compared to the race laps that happened days before this test.

Hiroshi Aoyama is giving the new Honda RC213V-RS Open class bike its race debut this weekend...
Look at the Top speed of that Suzuki, just 307 km/hr. That is less than the Open Honda. Or Randy is not putting her to its paces.
Aoyama on a faster Honda still is not better. Apparently he will be test rider for Honda next season. Why not have Scott Redding use that bike for the final race.

Why not have Scott Redding use that bike for the final race.
Because that bike might be slower than the other Hondas, so why spoil Redding's race. Aoyama on the other hand has already signed up as test rider.

The RC213V-S is apparently chewing up the tyres, lasting race distance may not be possible. Remember this bike has had zero testing with the Bridgestones till now.

Slower as in acceleration, yeah could be. However, I think in more capable hands like Redding it could clock better timings. However, Reddings race could be spoilt due to the tyre issues you mentioned.

My goodness! That was one cracking qualifying session! The timings are so close here; can't wait for the race already!

Above all, The Doctor is on pole. Can you believe this is his first pole in 4 years?!

What an ending to the season finale. I'm sure everyone would have noticed the Ducati's getting into the zone with minimum of rain drops on the circuit. It was like everyone ran on fuel, they ran on rain Jorge missed the fight for the podium after the wrong decision to change bikes. Honestly, I felt he was right to pit in. Proved to be the opposite.

Marc displayed exactly why he's world champion. Rossi tried to stick with him, but that's what he's been struggling to do all through this season.
Look at the coincidence between the 1st and this last race.
Marc on top step, Rossi 2nd and Dani 3rd. Not only this Jorge took a DNF.

Marc was the champion when he started in Qatar, he finished the Champion here at Valencia
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.
