Not true. Ninja has already been in the global market and is tried and very much accepted product. If both the bikes are close in the price then I will go for a Ninja as it has got a best-in-India SBK after sales back-up i.e in the name of Bajaj which have already established good service centers across all India plus the Kawasaki technology which is already tested by the customers and this way I will not be a TEST_RIDE customer of Mahindra which is the case with most of the bikes that are launched 1st time, there are problems which might be taken care by the bike manufacturer later-on, but in the 1st try I doubt that Mahindra can make it, it must take atleast 2-3 years for them to do something like... well...I m stoppingOriginally posted by saj View Posti just feel the world's best 250 (ninja) will be history in one of the biggest markets

First thing to discard this source (for the diablo) is that in the images shown there,it has standard shocks while the one in the promos has inverted shocks! Check pg-1 of this thread..If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

it's pretty unlikely that Mahindra will price this bike of theirs close to the ninja.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostNot true. Ninja has already been in the global market and is tried and very much accepted product. If both the bikes are close in the price then I will go for a Ninja.
it's been more than a week since this info's been out.

With every first generation Pulsar, Bajaj had used the aam janta as their guniea Pig only. Almost every pulsar had problems, later rectified but the first owners were fooled & it followed with every launch. I feel Mahindra dint wana do this, thats why they went all the way to Italy to test it, so I hope we wont be fooled exactly.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostI will not be a TEST_RIDE customer of Mahindra which is the case with most of the bikes that are launched 1st time, there are problems which might be taken care by the bike manufacturer later-on, but in the 1st try I doubt that Mahindra can make it, it must take atleast 2-3 years for them to do something like... well...I m stopping

shouldnt bike for india be tested in india as well thoroughly knowing the conditions here are more demanding and different from italy .Originally posted by spiderweb View PostWith every first generation Pulsar, Bajaj had used the aam janta as their guniea Pig only. My first ever bike was the Hero Honda 1999 CBZ. It had its ample share of problems. So I was fooled too eh..??
Any new product (from any maker) is bound to have the initial teething problems. This period is called the "Learning Curve" period.
The first set of customers who buy these initial products are called "Innovators" in marketing speak, because they are ready to take the risk of facing these initial problems.

There is still a mentality that "Foreign" is better among many. "Italy" does sound nice and exotic.Originally posted by Puneet1 View Postshouldnt bike for india be tested in india as well thoroughly knowing the conditions here are more demanding and different from italy .

Arre dude, testing in italy means testing by the Italians. Dsnt that sound delicious?
They know in & out of the bikes, no one better than italians (& Japs) when it comes to bikes. You cant expect Indian engineers to test a 300cc bike, when they can hardly make one (pun intended).
And ofcourse it obviously must had been tested (by a good rider
) in India as well, Mahindra is no child player in India, people trust the name as much as they trust Bajaj or TVS.

What i want to say is that bajaj made P150 (a totally new Indian Bike), it had problems (obviously coz it was the 1st bike) & then keep on upgrading it, samajhta hai.
Then it bought P180 & same thing followed.
Then P200 & P220, again same thing happened.
My Point: Why dont learn from a mistake rather than churning out machines with a 100 faults!
Why not first perfect the first one & than later climb the ladder!!!
