With every first generation Pulsar, Bajaj had used the aam janta as their guniea Pig only. Almost every pulsar had problems, later rectified but the first owners were fooled & it followed with every launch. I feel Mahindra dint wana do this, thats why they went all the way to Italy to test it, so I hope we wont be fooled exactly.

What i want to say is that bajaj made P150 (a totally new Indian Bike), it had problems (obviously coz it was the 1st bike) & then keep on upgrading it, samajhta hai.
Then it bought P180 & same thing followed.
Then P200 & P220, again same thing happened.

My Point: Why dont learn from a mistake rather than churning out machines with a 100 faults!
Why not first perfect the first one & than later climb the ladder!!!

it will have k&n and its silencer(s) read dhoom1 and dhoom2 on then!

why is mahindra promoting the tested in italy thing seriously? this is what i conclude-if the bike is designed by indian or asian engineers why do they take the bike to italy to test it? what is the purpose of testing? -to check whether the design is working as it is supposed to work -right?if the bike is made by indian or asian engineers and if some problem is detected during the testing ,it is the indian engineers who need to correct it .not the italians. so i feel that the bike is possibly designed in italy by italians and then tested in the quality race tracks in italy to gauge the performance.
who will design a bike in one country and take it to another country to test it? here in india we have the madras race track and the famous trafific and pot hole ridden roads -the best place to check the quality of a product.
we have already read that mahindra has acquired the engines engineering company. so definitely mahindra will utilise the services of this company if they want to design motor cycles. even the prototype concept bike they displayed was designed by engines engineering.so i personally feel the new bike is designed by the italian firm and tested in italy and its quality is definitely going to be much better than the initial pulsars. after all this engines engineering is a company that is associated with top guns like ducati,yamaha etc. they even have a moto gp 125 two stroke machine designed by them. (check their web site).

Not true. Ninja has already been in the global market and is tried and very much accepted product. If both the bikes are close in the price then I will go for a Ninja as it has got a best-in-India SBK after sales back-up i.e in the name of Bajaj which have already established good service centers across all India plus the Kawasaki technology which is already tested by the customers and this way I will not be a TEST_RIDE customer of Mahindra which is the case with most of the bikes that are launched 1st time, there are problems which might be taken care by the bike manufacturer later-on, but in the 1st try I doubt that Mahindra can make it, it must take atleast 2-3 years for them to do something like... well...I m stopping.

Bike must be due for launch, as the company will not air the teaser too early,

It is going to happen very soon and the dates doing rounds in this thread are not correct.

Sirji do you have any piece of info on the launch date. there is some amount of confidence which i see in the sentence written by you. Please reveal it.
