First on XBHP ! BR150R Thai Advertisement..
There is no official news of the Honda CBR150R/CBR125R making its way to India: It would be great if they bring all the three...
But then the CBR150R & CBR125R has no visual difference; CBR150R is otherwise mechanically identical to the CBR125R.... except for the sticker CBR125R and CBR150R....
So it is highly unlikely the CBR125R will make its way to India..Who Knows
If they do bring it here it would be a Triple Treat..

2011 CBR150R in thailand retails for 75,900 Thai Bhat's which is approximately 1,15,142 Indian Rupees.. Lets hope HSMI to launch the CBR150R @1,15 Lac.

No CBR125R or CBR150R for India
Haven't you guys read Honda's press releases for these bikes?
Honda has clearly stated that the CBR250R will be manufacturer both in India and Thailand. Honda also clearly states that the CBR250R will be sold in India. There is no mention whatsoever about either the CBR125R or CBR150R for India anywhere.
The CBR125R and 150R has got a proper perimeter frame and is mainly meant to cater the the European markets (The older CBR125R is already among the best selling motorcycles in the UK).
India will get the Made in India CBR250R with tube frame. No CBR125R or CBR150R for India.

No CBR125R or CBR150R for India.A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

I guess most of the XBHP'ians/Guests would agree that the press release was solely meant for the Baby Fireblade - CBR250R... No Doubt..
Honda Worldwide | October 27, 2010 "Honda to Produce New Road Sports Model CBR250R in Asia".....
Me and my friends here @ this forum are optimistic that Honda will launch the CBR150R...sooner rather than later....
Honda and Hero Honda has a diverse 150cc category here in India (Dazzler/Unicorn, CBZ Xtream/Achiver, and Hunk) which caters to different masses.
Yamaha has started to follow the footsteps of Hero Honda by offering FZ,FZ-S, Fazer, SZ-X, and SZ.
The CBR150R can correctly fit above the Dazzler and below the yet to be launched CBR250R.
The CBR150R is stylish, capable and will be fun to ride…
I am sure if this is launched it will set a new trend.... Lure the YZF-R15 costumers.
CBR150R will have the MHWT (More Heads Will Turn) like the Hero Honda's AVPD (Alien Versus Predator) sticker..
I presume Yamaha/Suzuki and TVS is preparing their arsenal (Fazer YS 250) (B-King 250 ?) (Apache Indian) to eat their share of pie in the 250 CC category; Who will disagree if we have a varied spectrum of choices in the 150 CC space.
Just saw Overdrive show @ CNBCTV18: Thew were testing riding the Hyosung GT-650R and the ST7..They have mentioned that Kawasaki is doing the math to bring in their Ninja 650...Honda is also doing the home work on this front 600 cc...
Let the good times roll...Last edited by pjamessmith; 11-22-2010, 11:26 AM.

Cool Man, i would like to hear more about your riding experience. Do share!!Originally posted by nsgkumar View PostRode the bike for an hour in Pattaya traffic..My personal opinion based on the initial impression is that,it might not challenge Yamaha R15 in performance, but might out sell them,if priced competitively.

but I for one would still like the CBR150 to come in India, not for the CC but def for the looks .....

Hard to say. Considering Pulsar series are doing well despite their almost identical looks.Originally posted by payeng View PostMight hurt the CBR250R since with almost identical looks, the CBR250R will not appear exclusive any more.
Since I don't own Pulsar, its hard for me to tell them apart unless I check the CC marking. May be the case for CBR 150/250. Of course, for the trained eye, or one familiar with them, it'll be easy.

All you people must understand the dynamics of the market of 150-180 cc bikes. So, R-15 being the best and the costliest sells around 1500 bikes per month or still less. So the annual marketshare of R-15 is around 15-16000 bikes per year. It has neither monopolised 150 cc market nor occupied 200 + cc market due to varied reasons.
Even if a CBR 150 is launched at a similar price like R-15, it would only be able to poach customer from R-15 only, thus getting only 8-10,000 customers per year. Clearly, this much demand is not sufficient to productionise the bike for indigenous production which is the basic requirement for pricing it near R-15 price. Only if all 2 valve air-cooled 150-160cc engines are wiped out from India, then CBR 150's entry into India would make sense. I hope you all understand the logic. Except looks, CBR 250 is miles ahead of CBR 150 in all departments. Also, new CBR 150 is not like old CBR 150 (light and agile) as it has gained around 23 kgs. over the old one.The Original CBZ
