I got a call from Silicon Honda RV road on Saturday by Ijaz. He said my bike has arrived but has a scratch on the visor . It happened in transit. One of the show room boy took me to the warehouse . I saw the bike there. The scratch was deep on the visor, but I spoke to Ijaz and he said he will replace that visor.
I checked the bike for any other defects and found none. I spoke to Ijaz and told this bike is OK for me. I made the payment on the same day (65% cash & 35% cheque).

All the formalities done. He said he will be delivering the bike by late Monday or Early Tuesday.

P.S.: I also received my tank pad. Thanks Planet DSG.

hey rahul!! Did you test drive the bike?? I wanted to suggest you since long that get a test drive as and when you can.. The reason i suggest you this is because you once said you dont ride the bike above 40-50kmph anytime.. Now what i find riding the cbr for about 3weeks is, this bike needs a lot of working the clutch and gears at low speeds (ie. Speeds <50). There is torque present everywhere.. But the bike either knocks at an upper gear or feels stressed at a gear lower.. the point is i dint find it comfortable doing low speeds.. on a highway.. On 6th gear.. Minimum is 80kmph and if you wanna cruise below that, need to get on a lower gear.. I hope you understand what i meant to say.. I posted this for you as i remembered your previous words on your ride habbits i have no intention to spoil your mood to buy the cbr.. Its a great bike.. But just get a nice test ride to see if it suits your purpose.. Or its waist spending that extra money and burning the extra fuel.. Else the bike is awesome.. (but very difficult to keep clean)..

OT: Btw, is your exams over..? Mine are on..
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

Hmm thanks for the info mate. I appreciate it
Well I drive at 50 max in 5th gear as my parents dont like it if I drive at high speeds and personally I feel its dangerous too coz of the 3 Wheeled Suicide Machines and Blind Pedestrians on the road :P

I didnt get a test drive yet. Will get it after exams if dad allows

OT: Nope I am doing engg and I guess you are doing it too. Only 1 paper is over, next paper tomorrow and last is on 18th
            What about you?

Thanks bro, this is vital information for people who are giving thought to CBR as a daily commute and plan to ride at low speeds. I guess the engine is designed for hi-revs, so it will obviously show the signs as you mentioned like knocking, stress etc.
I am surely gonna give a second thought as vadodara roads/traffic dont allow you to go above 60 max and there is hardly any place more than 10-15 kms apart, unless you plan to go out of the city. (Maybe Yammy will fit the criteria well )

                  • Congrats Vijay.
Looks only RV road honda is delivering bikes. Any updates from any other showrooms in Bangalore.
Planet Honda, Rajajinagar do not have any clue when they are going to get the bikes.

Around 7 bikes have been delivered from Sapphire I believe. Same from Haiku Honda also. Couple of bikes from Silicon & Dream Honda as well.

                          • My cbr had a coolant leak and they fixed it using a gasket during 500km. but from the time this problem was resolved, my engine temp keeps rising and going down every now and then. it is supposed to be on 3bars always according to the manual and when i asked the honda dealer they told me i will have to wait 4 a week so that the service engineer from plant can come and check it. till that time they have told me not to ride it . when i find problems in a new bike which i was always excited about, it is really a very bad feeling .

ME, booked on feb 8th. I have a feeling kun honda is one of the worst dealerships there is. Even if i do get the bike from there, which is highly unlikely, I suspect how the quality of service is going to be.
