    Yes it was KTM200 indeed.
Feel is just like r15 i mean really flickable ,you can believe my statement. The guy who was testing it said touches 150 me not sure about this
Well as of buying the bike i have no idea but looking at their long testing it seems safe to buy.

      • ^^^ that you can never be sure of, with Bajaj. They can always surprise you with their upgrades.

Duke 200 is such an important bike for Bajaj in India, they need to protect leadership in premium segment, which is critical to their profitability levels. I expect nothing short of all out attack by Bajaj, in light of potential new launches by competition.

One more thing that they will be keen to do is that when it comes to performance, they want you to remember Pulsar or KTM, certainly not CBR/R15.

but BAL is planning to take on a 250 CC CBR with a 200 CC KTM.....in terms of performance, will be a bit difficult. BAL should have brought out a 250 CC KTM........may be they are planning for a KTM 200 and then later Pulsar 250..

Dont know exact specs but bike comes with 6Gears and weights little more than R15 but not too heavy ,both wheels Disc brakes. Digital tacho and the stuff , very informative speedo meter New testing bikes comes with half rear tyre hugger. [I mean like p135 but only half]
Bike really spreads lots of mud in tail section. Testing guy said they[Bike Company] are working on tail for india

                  • Guys it is a KTM not Bajaj, Bajaj just manufactures it, the bikes will be built to KTM standards and not Bajaj standards, so you need not worry about quality and also I am sure, since it is a KTM we should not expect yearly upgrades like Bajaj.

                    I just did a power to cc ratio for the KTM 125 :- 15ps/125cc = 0.12

                    For KTM 200 :- 0.12 * 200CC = 24PS

                    For KTM 350 :- 0.12 * 350CC = 42PS .

So that is the power I am expecting . I know I may sound silly. Also I have heard that the KTM 125 was detuned to produce only 15 PS, so you never know the 200 might just cross the 25 PS barrier.

Good night boys, sweet dreams with all the above mentioned KTM's .

But Duke 200 @ 130kg got huge advantage, when compared to 160kg+ CBR250. Moreover, I would expect Duke 200 to produce around 24ps, which is more than enough to take on CBR250. Not to mention, it will be flickable due to light weight and an awesome one for corners.

This is a bike built for KTM, but designed by Bajaj in collaboration with KTM. Bajaj is not just manufacturer, but designed it as well in collaboration with KTM. Remember next gen Pulsars share this very platform (chasis & engine). So, hope for better things from Bajaj!!

but i still doubt its cornering abilities may not be as good as those of N250R or R15 or CBR..........what u guys think?

One of a kind !!!! Really is this KTM 200
Indian Biking circles would be convinced once again after R15 that only CC increase is not the last word in performance.........technology is

However, Mahindra Mojo(despite tall rumored pricing,it is very much desi made bike) with its odd ball looks and 300cc engine may eye this KTM Bajaj product...........for only one simple reason,
Mahindra is the new player here, KTM is the new player here too and they both compete each other at MotoGPs so at corporate level..ahem ahem

Now the pricing hits the last word here again.........and I know the KTM product would win it unless Bajaj does a Ninja 250R with it again this time.

Three bikes R15,CBR250 and N250R produced for very different purposes......every one of it has good cornering abilities in their own league.

KTM200 is the street bike or a muscle bike..........its cornering capabilities would definitely be targeted at the regular user and it will not disappoint.

Cornering on the Ninja 250R and R15 are like its second nature.. effortless, sure and stable..

..although the handling of the CBR250R is not bad.. but it certainly is not in the league of the Ninja 250R or the R15.

The KTM is designed with street in the mind and not the track.. but lets see how it would be to ride India's first trellis frame.

KTM is surely new to India, but it's coming to market from Bajaj stables and that means Mojo has a lot of ground to cover before it can look at Duke 200, IMHO Mojo is still a long way from seeing light of the day. Pricing is another area where Mojo has a lot of thinking to do, more so after CBR250's launch.

Unlike N250R, I would think Bajaj will have fair say in the case of Duke 200's pricing.. though I don't expect mouth watering price tag, but something around 1.5 lakhs is going to create a headache for competition.
