  • ^^ That's not the case, using better tires and lower GC, will result in better handling in corners. for example take FZ, it doesn't have a wheelbase to match P150, but still is good in corners, on the other hand take P135LS, which has same wheelbase as P150 (or is slightly more) and still it is fun in corners.

I'm really hoping for Duke 200 and already started saving money for it

I have this strange feeling that somehow Bajaj is going to stop P180 and reintroduce P200. More over I guess the next Pulsar line-up looks more like P135LS, P160, P200 & P250 , which means even P220 would be discontinued (strictly my opinion or a hunch). Does any body else is on same line of thought??

@princeirohi:thx for the update, so the suspense is still on if its a 125 or a 200 even though im very much convinced that its a 200...

I wonder how will be the stability of this bike at cornering, because people always say that longer wheelbase gives better stability and ktm200 being so small must be difficult to control while cornering at high speeds (compared to a p200) ... correct me if im wrong

Have your checked out the Specs of the KTM 125 Duke??
It's wheelbase is 1350 mm which is exactly same as the Pulsar 220..!!

The KTM baby Duke is designed for European (6 ft average height) males. The mimimal bodywork (less flab) on the KTM Baby Duke makes it looks light weight/minimalistic like an off road bike designed for street use.

      • the thing is that, KTM looks more like an off-road bike rather than a street bike, and we (including me ) wants our bikes to look big with fairings and all, so this feeling.

of course there are other riders also who like naked bikes.

That's a good thing and according to me its intentional. KTM is known for its off road genes than its on road models. Bikers who know KTM, respect it for its off road credentials.. and that is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of this KTM model.

Yeah I know, puffed up Plastic (and a puffed up attitude) muscles works for majority of desi bikers.

But I am ready to pay an extra 25K just for NOT adding 15-20 Kgs on the bike with useless/dead weight in the form of excess metal metal/plastic.

          • Thanks for clarifying, i checked the ktm's wheelbase but didnt compare it to my bike or the p220, thats where i went wrong. I really like the looks of KTM. Its an ideal bike for daily use for avid bikers.

                Payeng dude,
Why am I getting this feeling that you are having sleepless nights over this baby Duke and if you are... then you are not to be blamed, as this baby has it's own karizma amongst the big butt baddies around it

Even I'm also eagerly waiting something to come up for the KTM 200.

The classic Karizma enticed me so much (and still does) that I prefer using Karizma instead of charisma (makes me feel at home using that word )

I'm really hoping and for the Duke 200

                          • well, if you guys see it in person, the much smaller, in the above pics, its an illusion created automatically by the fact that KTM is near to camera and big bikes are far and teh angle from which the pic is taken is the best angle for this KTM, try to click pics from rear third quarter.

i am not saying it is good or bad......just that it looks much smaller.
