OFFICIAL: KTM 200 to be launched during Auto Expo 2012, and 350 cc to follow soon
Naked, relatively small and nimble, with good enuf power to weight ratio. Thats how I like my bikes. So yes, this makes me more excited than any of the recent launches. If my finances allow in the next year, I am a prospective customer
Hope its a bit softly sprung. Had enuf of stiff springs with the RTR. (Getting older, need to take care of my back)

You second my thoughts.
Apart from visibly cutting on excess flab, I am pleased at the ergonomics (as seen from the pics) on the Baby Duke..
Athough a super sports like agressive stance is fun, my back along with me is getting old .. therfore a comfy stance (which photos of the KTM Baby Duke suggests) instead would mean longer hours on the saddle.
although the bike is great, KTM could have changed the looks a lettle bit so that it looks like an on road bike rather than looking like a totally off road bike.
a little bit of fairing, better speedo console, bigger headlamp. i mean, if its a 200, it should also feel like a 200.
just my personal opinion.
don't worry u'll get Bajaj 200+ Gen6 bike with that features .. similar tech to KTM

+1 to that. Even tho the RTR has not given me any problems with the riding stance on long rides, I would prefer a bit more relaxed stance going forward.
hey guys, yesterady i saw three KTM Dukes in Pune highway.. one rider was riding alone and he was way ahead .. after a little while the other two riders followed.. i couldnot take pics because i was on the opposite side of the road and was in my car coming to mumbai.
What i noticed was .. the KTM sounded more like a Karizma... maybe i am wrong but that was what i heard. . . But strangely when i came across the other two KTMs the sound was quite different.... may be it was because the two bikes were side by side and the Exhaust sounds were resonating or something like that... Anyways.. the bikes are very noticeable from a dstance due to their tall Seating heights . . And But i noticed that their headlights were not so Strong( No Comparison to P220). So highway riding at nights will restrict High Speeds ..
There were no graphics on the bike so i hope they put some eye catching Stickers otherwise the orange and black looks very Bland ..

thursday evening, while going from aamby valley to pune, i saw a group (3 bikes) of KTM's on test run kind of thing. it was raining extremely heavily, so couldn't take pics. 2 of the bikes were parked at a dhaba and riders were taking tea etc, i was a bit hard pressed for time. i crossed them initially then took a u-turn to come back and see. looked closely. the bik looks really small. as the bikes are not yet launched, there were no stickers anywere, so couldn't tell its 125 or 200 cc. but my guess is that it was a 200 cc by looking at the engine.
the KTM riders were also looking at me rather curiously, as i was all clad in riding gears and a big sticker on bike in front mentioning xbhp.......
again took a turn, was just about to leave when a third KTM passed me. at that time, i was at stanstill. tried to catch him up with my sweet little P150, did that with ease man. either the rider was not very spirited one, or the big was not inspiring confidence in rains, don't know.
Poor Rider was wearing sport shoes and some kind of jeans in that lonavala heavy rains.
@princeirohi:thx for the update, so the suspense is still on if its a 125 or a 200 even though im very much convinced that its a 200...
I wonder how will be the stability of this bike at cornering, because people always say that longer wheelbase gives better stability and ktm200 being so small must be difficult to control while cornering at high speeds (compared to a p200) ... correct me if im wrong
