    DUKE 125 or 200?

    guys...just read this news in timesofindia.com "Bajaj plans to launch 'Duke' by December".

    In the above mentioned article they have given the capacity of the bike as 125cc, their is no mention of 200cc or so whatsoever.

    They had a board meeting after which Rahul Bajaj has spoken to reporters and given these details.

    I really think that 125cc is not practical that too with a price tag upwards of 1 lac. I for one would not pay 1.2-1.4 lacs and buy a 125cc bike.

      @above i think no way 125 will come because ktm chief has already said 200 will launch in Asian markets..

            Wouldn't that depend on how they price it? of course assuming that 125cc will come with sub 1 lakh price tag!! But, I remember reading even KTM's chief said that they are working on 200cc engine for Asain markets!! let's see what's in store for us.

                      This bike headlight reminds me of the bajaj byke that they launched long back and which was a big flop.

                      But otherwise except the headlight, everything is good. The rear monoshock is good and big.

                        The big tank and the beefy tyres seems different from the bike that is being tested at the tracks(they are all 125ccs), the engine is large too !!!!

                        This picture bears the true testimony of the 200cc KTM streetfighter named Duke and its for India !!!

                          I just compared these pics with the 360 degree view available on 125 duke site. But to me both of them look same parts are seemingly equal in size, but I sincerely hope that we get Duke 200, not 125.

                            When Mr. Bajaj himself has said it in an Interview that the 200 Duke and NOT the 125 Duke will be sold in India, then there should not be any doubts.

                              The headlight of Bajaj BYK looked like that of a bicycle in comparison to this.......the KTM's headset is radical too.

                              I wish that they induce projector like P220F's on it, complete with black paneling between the two sets !!!

                                +1. This one looks simple and a bit outdated. Not suitable for a premium bike.
