I see that its quite easy to get misquoted.

What I had said was that, I am NOT expecting it to be "Significantly more powerful" than my P220 DTS-Fi which makes 20 Ps.

With a 200 cc, Single Cylinder engine (even if it's Liquid Cooled & Fuel injected) one can't expect a legal 30 Ps.. right..??
(For many P220 owners, even the 33 Ps of the Ninja 250R is not a significant bump in power)

+1 to the bold part... It seems more like an incremental upgrade rather than a quantum leap. But the Duke 200 sure looks wicked!
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

          • The bike looks fabulous. They have a prospective customer in me, if it is priced well, and Bajaj / KTM / whoever give the level of afetr sales service it deserves.

For those who missed out on this earlier:
            YouTube - 2011 KTM 125 Duke Caught Testing in India - Motoroids.com

The person shooting the bike is on an R15 (see RVMs), and it seems to me like the KTM was doing good speeds (100 ish)..

            My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

              You said it.

To me the Baby Duke's got that Unique and Cool "Urban Off/Soft Roader" Looks, Riding Stance and Attitude.. which goes down perfectly well with the revered KTM brand.

Observe how the rear brake liners are binded in both pictures?(to address to the exact point, check near the heel of rider in the second picture, observe the same binding in the 1st pic)
Are these pictures of the same bike?
                can they be?

It can be the same bike but the earlier scoop pic had RVM but the latest one do not have. Well, it hardly matters.

What i would live to see r the custom parts, if they plan to sell in India.

                        • That's an awesome ride.. Hope it has atleast 25bhp.. That'll make it a hoot to ride, considering it has the same dynamics of the 125..

A small doubt.. Why on earth are they giving braided brake lines to the rear..? I mean, how many people here want to lock up the rear and slide the bike..?

                            • To me, it dint pull even a single chord as far as styling goes. Looks more of a upmarket dirt bike with nice dressing. Bajaj is targetting a niche base with this bike.

Forget putting money, I would think twice If someone offers it for free.
