The camouflage is what was posted in the 2nd pic by Satyen! This is an open show!Originally posted by NikhilTruelyYamaha View PostLooking at the last pic does anyone see some material like plastic covering or atleast trying to cover the rear portion?
Most companies test their bikes/cars under camoflauge,is this also an attempt to hide actual looks before launch?
I am actually doubting it-this is the old R15 color which I have&was phased out.
Neither the number plate, nor the rider's clothes suggest anything to do with testing a new bike from Yamaha.
It could just be one guy who bought an R15 a couple of years back, got bored of the looks&modded it.
But the alloys are still baffling!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Ya may be a modded R15.
But these are the things which is annoying in my mind...
1) Rear tyre hugger part - As i said before, i don't think anyone will do that.
2) Alloys - Its almost/same as R125's alloys. Someone said before TVS Victor GLX has same type alloys, i don't believe its the same kind, its way different, pls check the attachment...
3) Side Fairings - It has some difference from the old one... do you think that guy just put it for looks?
Just be optimistic
for me its necessary, coz i am delaying my booking coz of this

Actually, the number plate is telling the story of it being a test muleOriginally posted by Sarvajit View PostThe camouflage is what was posted in the 2nd pic by Satyen! This is an open show!

I haven't yet checked every single detail to suggest whether it's a new bike or not but this surely is something interesting..The number you see on the plate is UP 16-XXXX which happens to be the registration number for Noida..Honda and Yamaha have plants here in Greater Noida,I am sure you know know that.(BTW,I reside in Noida
)
If you read magazines you might have noticed that Honda and Yamaha products always have Noida(UP-16) registration on them..
Also,A few days back our college people have organized a seminar where Executives from Yamaha have come to brief us on market requirements, management etc etc..One of the chief engineers(when asked by a student during Q/A round) said that we will see revamped/new models of the motorcycles very soon..No idea if he meant sticker-ing FZs to gold, yellow or another paint schemes though.
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Isnt TC in the registration number used to move a single vehcile from the warehouse-showroom or vice versa or such road tests?
It is usually red font on yellow background, but have seen hand written ones too on white background.
What ever, When I bought R15 in 2009, I asked the guy about its upgrade cycle, he said was 3 years.Last edited by riazmomin; 12-15-2010, 08:54 PM.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
