I really cannot understand how they are planning to put in these fatter tyres without changing the swingarm/chassis.
I have already received confirmation that the chassis will not be touched as its ages ahead of its time. Same applies for engine also.
I can understand lighter alloys, but there is virtually NO gap in between the swingarm to accomodate a 120 section tyre.
At best, I can think of something like the RTR 180's rear-what was it now-110/70/17"?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

i just spoke to my yamaha dealer.
hes a really good friend of mine.
he told me all the models that were to be released.
but he has no idea about this model.
if any new model is released the showroom guys will be given a heads up well in advance to prep for it like training specs etc.
so he suggests either its fake or not for india or not gonna be launched any time soon.
anyway he said he would confirm and let me know.
cant wait !!
Regardless, Life shall go on.

Yeah,it would be a shocking news if it turns out to be just another mod job. But those tyre huggers suggest otherwise.
And if there is no technical changes in the upgraded bike there is no need to notify the dealers, right?Last edited by REAPER; 12-14-2010, 05:00 PM.everybody dies, but not everyone LIVES...

i don't want to disappoint anyone here, i have seen a modified R15 in bangalore kormangala/hsr area which looks very much like this, is full black exactly the way it is in the pic. but the wheels are different.
the bike in the pic has a white number plate, which means it is registered, so i think it may be a modified bike!!
if it turns out to be a new face-lifted bike, i may buy it in march/april'11
saj*you wanna know me?

The R15 with its sharp handling and revvy engine is pretty good for a 150 cc. The redesign now makes the orginal malnourished rear now look healthy.
I sincerely hope this is not restricted to a cosmetic-only upgrade!!
