nice. this takes the R15 from almost perfect looking to perfect.

if i were looking out to buy an R15 i'd wait for this to be launched.

nice looking rear. sweet looking mags. butt ugly tyre hugger.

a photo credit and a lifetime subscription should be good.

remember... in a few days or so there might be clearer n better spy pics.

Totally agree with you... except the tyre hugger everything seems to be perfect, Yamaha should leave these pulsar 135 inspired tyre huggers out

Why do all the clickers or spy pics dont have time to stop or follow the rider?

Just kidding. Slim tires, not so appealing rear of R15 have been disliked by many. R15 needs to get the much awaited face lift. hope this is it.

Its new and improved (?) R15...makes no business sense to introduce another model in a special category/series (read: non-commuter) just 25cc away. Although Bajaj Pulsar has done it (P135,150,180,200,220), Discover (135,150,100), HH Splendor and Passion too, but Yamaha will not...cannot say why though...

I never had a problem with those thin tyres... yeah not saying that I would not have liked them. I was saying more from a design sense. The older bike looks classy, nice sharp aggresive lines... very exiciting! The newer ones has curves in the wrong areas, almost as if the sharper one had a bad silicon job!
Just me, I guess, but I dont fall for Phat tyres and all!

If Yamaha would bring this upgrade for the looks, how much they gonna price the new R15 is yet to be seen. when the fairing upgrade was done for the FZ16>Fazer it costed a +8K
I don't think they will price it anything less that...

I don't think that there will be a huge bump in prize as Yamaha should be well aware of the upcoming CBR 250. I would like to believe that since this is a replacement for the existing R-15 and not a new model (unlike in the case of FZ-Fazer) there should not be great difference in the price of this one with respect to the older R-15.

Anyways keeping my fingers crossed, if they keep it in the same price bracket as of the older one, they certainly do have a customer in me

Fat tyres = not so great performance with the existing engine .
guys, i dont think its just a cosmetic upgrade. Its a R series bike & yamaha wont do anything that affects its bikes peformance inversily.
And this bike looks much sportier than the current r15. And yeah original r15s rear looked so 'cheap' ,but this looks awesome.

i don't think there wud b huge increase in price as in case of fzr ,the whole fairing ws an addition whereas in this case the tail n rear tyre is replaced......
