  • The Guy who took the photograph "Vaibhav Saigal" told in one of the thread that the number plate is having TC written on it and the uniform which the rider is wearing is the one which Yamaha test riders wear in that area.

Will try to find that post and put it here:

    Here is the link http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...-r15-1335.html

Same in the case of CBR250R also...
So can't tell with that case...
well they aren't suppose to reveal it and there are others who are ignorant about it. even the other showroom people refused to confirm previous launches but he is my friend and a bike enthusiast like us so he confided in me. dude they have to go for training and other things will be there so showroom people will know.
      Regardless, Life shall go on.

      • It might be that since it is not a new model and only a revamped version of R-15 therefore no specific training is needed, after all Yamaha can atleast expect the mechanics to be familiar with opening up the rear portion of any bike

        Just Guessing...

a new model needs paper work to be registered right ? all govt certified testing and all.
          so ???
          just random thoughts guys..
that is exactly what i posted.since the bike appears to be registered it could be a modded r15.who knows.

          • If we look closely then we can see TC written on the number plate which is what the company owned test vehicles do have.

Ya i do agree to the point that some are ignorant about it. But my question is do yamaha(or any others) provide the training for an existing model which gets a facelift? i think any manufacturers gives training and all those stuffs for a new bike launch. correct me if i am wrong... may be that's the reason behind it. Buddy am not saying your friend is wrong, but just some thoughts...

@VaibhavSaigal... Dude if you see him again stop him and ask him about the details... if its a modded R15 give a hard slap for teasing many of us here in xbhp... LOL...
If its a modded one we can close this thread permanently...

                  • Just looked up google. Some websites have put up info about cosmetic changes to the rear fender/panels, fatter rear tyres and LEDs on the 'new' R15. Hope they've reworked the engine too
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

the guys in RAJ yamaha in OMR dont even know about a bike called SZ-R

my friend booked an SZ-X then i told him there is this SZ-R with discs. He went and told them they were like "there is no such bike sir..."

what would he reply to them?

                        • just flashed in my head!
it should be the new R15 because the rear tire hugger is a rule in India that it must cover the tire to a certain extent. isn't it?
same as it happened in pulsar 135.

                            Good thought there...
Another thought from my side. if that guy has modded his R15, why put that fugly rear tyre hugger(read: if that guy had spend some money in modding the bike), Anyone with a descent sense wouldn't do that...

My 2 cents: ITS THE NEW R15 FOR SURE...
The main reason behind this is that i went to the showroom to book an R15... so the guy there said to wait till January, which he expects something new is coming... fingers crossed...
