I just hope that they deliver on time.... as it has been mentioned correctly in earlier posts that the CBR250R will only be manufactured in Thailand and then India and sold internationally, it will surely have a lot of pressure on the production lines.Originally posted by jasmeetsinghchawla View PostThey have given me May 25th as the delivery date which is actually the second lot. First lot will be delivered in April itself.
BTW 20 CBR's have been booked here too
I just hope for someone who books a Honda CBR250R in the month of april or may does not have to wait till november
.... June -july is a justified timeframe but novemeber is just pusshing it...

As is the norm of Honda in India, Honda will create a waiting period of more than six months for the CBR250R. Even more as the bookings grow more.
HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
Honda Aviator || Kinetic Flyte || Kinetic Blaze || HH Splendor

Ravi - Creating a waiting preriod of 6 months will have a negative impact on the sales of the CBR250R, Converting the huge numbe of bookings to sales would be the mammoth task that Honda has to take up ... if it wants to have any kind of impact on the 250cc market in India.

I really can't understand all the criticism about the Honda being a Single cylinder. Even though it is what it is, most reviews rate the performance at par the N250 barring the top end, infact the the acceleration is rated a little better as well.
Let me see if i can get hold of the article I read about this.respect ma authoritae!!

If Honda isnt able to meet demand for the CBR250 then a lot of people are likely to cancel their bookings in the next couple of months and wait for the next big (250cc) affordable bike. Even if Honda does stabilize their sales and can promise delivery in a month or two by the third quarter I doubt people will rebook the bike. Indians are notorious for being the once bitten twice shy variety.

Well, I read from a reliable source the next rival BKing is to be launched with pumping almost the same HP on the same competitive segment. Not sure how far this is true. But for now, 1.5L/1.8L single cylinder pumping 26 Bhp is a steal, while almost a decade back carbd Comet 250 with Vtwin pumped a little over this & was priced 1.75L. Compared to that, this one seems far reasonable. VFM is just apt in case of CBR250R.Originally posted by neil.jericho View Postwait for the next big (250cc) affordable bikeSkill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Yahooooo
I finally booked mine today, the GUY said I will get it by June end!
The thing is we will have to go to Cotton Greens (Wadala), Honda store bikes there and he said we wont deliver it, you will have to get it from there.
The body is of fibre so it can get damaged while bringing. One container will have only two 250Rs as it may get damaged. I will be getting it in the third lot by June end
Damn I cant wait for it. The price is around 1.8L +/- 10K.I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.
My Stable:
2009 & Present: HH Hunk Limited Edition [Red Striker]
2011 & Present: Honda CBR 250R [Black Blade]

thanks mate... u made me clear!Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostHere's what is Liquid cooling:
In a liquid cooled engine, in which the coolant will be water mixed with coolant chemicals, the mixture is usually circulated by a pump through jackets surrounding the cylinders and cylinder heads. The water is circulated fast enough to remove steam bubbles that may form over local hot spots. The warmed coolant is piped to an air-cooled heat exchanger called a radiator which is seen in R15's and the other bikes equipped with liquid cooling and finally the airflow required to remove the heat from the radiator is supplied by an electric fan that works on battery housed behind the radiator.
Oil Cooling:
Is nothing but the same engine oil that is present in the engine is circulated into a thin radiator element using a pump that helps to dissipate the heat helping the oil not to loose it's viscosity at extreme temperatures.
Hope this helped you

Well recently I saw on news that 06 to 08 jazz and city are facing recall for some "relatively minor" issues effective all over the globe including India and this makes me wonder whether we are right to continue to blindly put our faith and money on their product?
I mean most honda users and even the critics in mags agree that every time honda has pushed for speedy design/ greater numbers/ strained its resources - they have left them feeling "It's ok but could have been better quality..." Hope thats not the issue this time.
When in doubt...... Gas it!

There you go mate!
Beware that the "fit" that they are talking about is the global name for jazz.
Q/C issues with recent honda product is not an opinion! many people who had brought the 1 gen activa and than again brought the later gen agree that latter gen are fuel efficient but do not carry as good paneling and quality feel n smoothness of the first gen! also motoroids and many other mags have noted that the recent gen of bikes including the new twister has had some nags with the plastics and paneling. And that is not what HONDA name is synonymous with...
Honda CB Twister First Ride / Road Test Review
I mean if they are cutting corners like every body else why pay them premium price? Why not save some money by buying the desi hot rods or pay to enjoy a better yammy or kwacker or Katoom!?!
When in doubt...... Gas it!
