Jokes apart, the 650 would be an ideal stepping stone to realize that there is a HUGE market in that 4-8L bracket.. so whatever bikes can be brought in that range, I4 or not will sell man! Atleast pehla step toh lene de

    • Satyen, very quickly then:

      6.5-6.8 lakhs NINJA 650 R or 8.5 lakhs DUCATI V TWIN ?

The guy who can shell out 6.5 for a bike can easily pour the extra 2 lakh.
Or if we calculate the EMI's and all, i dont think those extra 2 lakh will pump some major bucks in EMI's.
For 4.5-5.0 i'am all in for the Twin 650R but if i have to shell out in upwards of 7, i can wait for good 2-3 years, saving more bucks in the process and if everything fails, i'll be left with enough to book a litre !

Ofcourse I agree, and if rumour mills are to be believed ALL ducatis will now see a price cut of about 1 to 1.5L depends on models. The M796 is touted to be priced at ~7L ex showroom...

          Now that sounds yummy !
          6.5 NINJA 650R and some 8.0 DUCATI.
I would shell out those extra 1.5 just for that killing exhaust note !

We are going OT! but seriously the oomph factor of Ducati is something that even Mr. Bajaj wont resist!

I hope the 650 comes OTR around 5. Makes a lot of decisions easier! I hope the KTMs come fast too!

Wheres prasoon? Do you know any more about the booking bit!

            • A small DIFFERENCE..

Guys, a small doubt.. I've attached some pics with encircled regions.. Please check the swingarm and tell me if they are of different colors.. And the forks too.. Doesn't this point to a 400R on the Bajaj Website rather than the 650R..? If its the ad agency's screw up, then please don't flame me.. But, seriously think about this..

Damn.. Was expecting the 400R.. Wish they'd launch it first.. It'll be perfect touring bike for India with great all day cruising at 130-140ish and a good FE which will help in range..

@ MG: Bro, you can be a bit more explanatory in your post, where you asserted that its 650R. Frankly speaking, even I'm confused as to why they put 400R on the site?
Don't know much about the image used on the website but the bike coming is Ninja650R

Thanks. I guess it would be N650R with the larger number plate and grab rails pre-attached, from company itself.

@ Bajaj: Please spare the Ad agency. Don't fire them.

                            true.

that could put a few Hyosung GT650R buyers on hold.

                              count me in.

haha... bajaj's official stance on the N650R launch is supposed to be "no comment" as of now...

so if they told you it is infact a 650... they could be in trouble.
