With the price Dropping in Aus. and apply the conversion rate as 1 aus$ = Rs. 45. The price is now 2,70,000 means earlier in Aus it was very much over priced.. and now the pricing is correct..

I have met Mr. Vas a couple of times, and must say, he is a VERY-VERY-VERY sensible man!
This IV seems to be an impromptu one (which I like!) but then again, we are better, but still quite not there with IVs... !

      Loved the line @1:32

So the expected price of KAWASAKI bikes should be

          Ninja 650r : 7200 $
at 1$ = 45 INR as exchange rate
          it is 324000 INR

In India : It should be 324000+ 60% extra (194400) = 518000 (approx) on road
          Good analysis bro...!

With GT650R threatening to dampen the sales of Ninja 250R I personally think Bajaj and Kawasaki have no other choice but to get the Ninja 650R is this price!!!!

Jus waiting for da final verdict and then im all in for da investment!

In my personal opinion, Bajaj should bring in the Ninja ZX-6R, as it will be appropriate to bring in this bike via CKD route and since this territory is unknown to Indian Bike maufacturers it will give a clear picture about customers response to such products

              Hi Bro,
You said that you are waiting for the final verdict it mean that you are more inclined towards buying a Ninja 650R than Hyosung GT650r and just waiting to see the price difference between the two before making final decision.

I almost finalized a hyosung but now i guess it's better to wait till big ninja arrives. 2-3 months waiting is not a big deal and in the mean time i can save some more bucks

Hey guys what do you expect from Bajaj logically , will they a Ninja 650r or ZX6r or Both

I expect them to extend the deadline for Ninja 650's launch by 6 months and then launch it in the 7th or 8th month,
and then I expect that its employees spread rumors about ZX 6R and judge response,
And then, since the response would be tremendous, we should get ZX6R in few more years from now..

                -
Ok jokes apart, I think they're not ready with ZX 6R as of now... Of course, its probability can't be declined.

Bike India believes Bajaj to be making efforts to release Ninja 650R and Z750.
Zigwheels believes Ninja 650R, alongwith one more bike from ZX6R, Er 6n, Duke 690.
                Overdrive believes only Ninja 650.

Conclusion: Ninja 650R should be the first one, and later others may follow.

is it bright speculation or in real u saw them ... in either case .. they can;t compare and match with the GT650R in terms of price and VFM that it gonna offer ... [as they did with N250R]

bike was huge and covered with tapes, but the head n tail lights were easily recognizable.

Mr.Vas being very diplomatic ...has surely but certainly given a heads up as to what is getting lined up for India....will always be happy to see such green mean machines on road that the standard 100 cc's trying to squeeze their way around.

It would a sight for sour eyes.

Dam the Govt..policies...cant the babus thing before they act.

Thanks xBhp for the updates as usual.

The things I believe will go in N650's favor:

                          1. The presence of ABS, I know its not everything but it matters!
                          2. Color options might... well, let's leave this subjective stuff..
                          3. Twin headlight setup. It looks fantastic to me...
                          4. My old man rode a Bajaj, I ride a Bajaj, so taking Kawasaki will be easier for me.
On the other hand, Hyosung doesn't have a large base of existing customers. Reliability, brand popularity and dad's favorite brand matters a lot here.
                          5. Comfort, in terms of riding position. Again, very subjective matter I admit as some like it sporty, me included!

On some other matters though, GT650 seems better. One thing is for sure- If Kawasaki's pricing is close to GT's, then it would be a hell of a fight we're going to see. Only that the GT released earlier, and so might be at advantage.
Like WWE's Jim Ross used to say, "its gonna be a Slobber-Knocker!!"

I think enough time has elapsed since the "event" happened so it should be ok to talk about it now. MG will cheerfully delete this post if he feels otherwise

Sometime last year a few of us were called to Chakan to test a few CBU bikes for Bajaj as part of a R&D exercise. MG called me up and gave me the coordinates. I also nominated Gopi (razorblades) to attend one of the sessions.

                                We tested the following bikes:

                                1. 650R (will be the ideal bike for India)
                                2. Z750 (my personal favorite)
                                3. ZX6R (awesome track tool)
                                4. 250R (underpowered in comparison with the other bikes on the day)
                                5. KTM 690 Duke (odd motard style handling which I didn't take to)

I can assure you the 650R will be a HUGE hit and the most suited for our conditions. That is the bike I would like to take to Leh, Turtok etc. During the test they asked us to suggest prices and I think the general consensus was that the 650R should carry an on-road price tag of 6L (which now looks to be spot-on considering the Garware Hyosung launch prices).

MG and I have been waiting for this bike for a LONG LONG time now...
