This is the 650R right? Or are you referring to the even bigger Ninja - the litre class.

Does the 650R have temperature indicator or just the overheat lamp? Saw some videos but could make out that it has only the overheat lamp - the console is really sexy , the self check and the layout is good, a bit tough to read but a new age console derived from race spec Kawasaki.

    scroll up a bit...

the OTR price of the Ninja 250R in the UK is 3.1 lac.

the OTR price of the Ninja 650R in the UK is 4.5 lac.

so... if Bajaj want to price it below 5 lac... they very well can.

and if you ask me... i think they prolly will.
if bajaj can make it possible near to 4.5 lacs OTR, this machine is gonna

    rock..

This bike looks wayyyy better than the CB1000 or the FZ1 (personal opinion)... If kawa brought this down it will definitely do well...

And if Bajaj keep rue to their *UK Pricing* theory, this beauty will have to be priced at 6.5L OTR... hahahhahaha

Agree satyen,it would have been fair for the customer to make a decision when both the co's bikes are present.
Garware Motors have started the booking in April but only giving delivery in June. Why? don't know or probably a strategic planning.

    ^Add RC8 to that list

They will house a most potent product line if they do that and can undercut icnoinc brands like HD and Ducati.

I think it makes a lot of sense for Kawasaki to price 650R below 5 lakhs.. they will have enough room to fit in ZX-6R & Z750 before ZX-10R launch.. of course that's a very long term view!!

the N250R is miles ahead of the CBR250R in build quality.

(there are zero people who would disagree with that fact.)

and since this is the Ninja 650R thread... i'll come back to the topic.

Love the Kawasaki front profile look.
But somewhat the other half part of the bike doesn't match up.

Agreed.Kawasaki selling Ninja 650R for sub 5 Lacs not possible.

I do not own Ninja 250 but I have ridden it for few kms. I found it to be extremely good for high speed cruising as one of its qualities. It has a very relaxed engine at high speeds. I would like to believe that 650R will be near perfect for highway cruising especially with its normal one piece handle bar and a more upright riding position. It's also a parallel twin so it will have ample power for high speed riding considering 250R's capabilities being a 250cc machine. Quality wise it will be better too so I am really looking forward to this bike. Considering riding conditions in India, 650R is an extremely good decision.
