This is the 650R right? Or are you referring to the even bigger NinjaOriginally posted by MR ACE View PostImportant one is that the bigger ninja launching month(all over India) is next month. And the price for n250r would NOT come down.
- the litre class.
Does the 650R have temperature indicator or just the overheat lamp? Saw some videos but could make out that it has only the overheat lamp - the console is really sexy
, the self check and the layout is good, a bit tough to read but a new age console derived from race spec Kawasaki.

if bajaj can make it possible near to 4.5 lacs OTR, this machine is gonnaOriginally posted by xionite View Postu're comparing a (locally manufactured) honda product with a kawasaki.
scroll up a bit...
the OTR price of the Ninja 250R in the UK is 3.1 lac.
the OTR price of the Ninja 650R in the UK is 4.5 lac.
so... if Bajaj want to price it below 5 lac... they very well can.
and if you ask me... i think they prolly will.
rock..

saw a black gt650 near model colony this Saturday.. AFAIK it was a registered bike...Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostPS: Why isnt anyone getting the delivery of the GT650? Do they want to be 'fair' to the customers by giving delivery in June?

This bike looks wayyyy better than the CB1000 or the FZ1 (personal opinion)... If kawa brought this down it will definitely do well...
And if Bajaj keep rue to their *UK Pricing* theory, this beauty will have to be priced at 6.5L OTR... hahahhahaha

Agree satyen,it would have been fair for the customer to make a decision when both the co's bikes are present.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostPS: Why isnt anyone getting the delivery of the GT650? Do they want to be 'fair' to the customers by giving delivery in June?
Garware Motors have started the booking in April but only giving delivery in June. Why? don't know or probably a strategic planning.

^Add RC8 to that list
They will house a most potent product line if they do that and can undercut icnoinc brands like HD and Ducati.

I think it makes a lot of sense for Kawasaki to price 650R below 5 lakhs.. they will have enough room to fit in ZX-6R & Z750 before ZX-10R launch.. of course that's a very long term view!!Originally posted by xionite View Post

u're comparing a (locally manufactured) honda product with a kawasaki.Originally posted by melroyal View PostWhen you consider the Ninja 250R sells for 3Lacs plus when Honda is selling the CBR 250R for half that of Kawasaki price.
the N250R is miles ahead of the CBR250R in build quality.
(there are zero people who would disagree with that fact.)
and since this is the Ninja 650R thread... i'll come back to the topic.

Love the Kawasaki front profile look.
But somewhat the other half part of the bike doesn't match up.

Agreed.Kawasaki selling Ninja 650R for sub 5 Lacs not possible.Originally posted by coolboy007 View PostA sub 5L OTR according to me is just not possible, Bajaj hardly cares about huge sales numbers for Kawasaki. Had that been a case, 250R prices would have dropped as it sells in meagre number but its not happening, they are keeping that premium image.
When you consider the Ninja 250R sells for 3Lacs plus when Honda is selling the CBR 250R for half that of Kawasaki price.

I do not own Ninja 250 but I have ridden it for few kms. I found it to be extremely good for high speed cruising as one of its qualities. It has a very relaxed engine at high speeds. I would like to believe that 650R will be near perfect for highway cruising especially with its normal one piece handle bar and a more upright riding position. It's also a parallel twin so it will have ample power for high speed riding considering 250R's capabilities being a 250cc machine. Quality wise it will be better too so I am really looking forward to this bike. Considering riding conditions in India, 650R is an extremely good decision.Last edited by Satellite.kid; 05-10-2011, 03:14 AM.
