I beg to differ, replacing a stock exhaust does not increase only power but also saves weight(generally). And IMO sound(music to my ears) of a bike is a very important aspect of a bike be it a RE or a R1. Please don't call it noise.Originally posted by trustvishwas View PostReplacing exhaust for higher performance is a very old game. IMO, the increased power due to replacement exhaust is not justifiable for the price paid. Unless your skill levels are in top 98 percentile, you will be hard pressed to derive any benefit out of it.
I know many would be fuming at my next statement. --> Mainly what the replacement exhausts do is generate more noise; thereby attracting more attention to rider. Nothing more.
BTW thanks for all the scoops. Is Kawasaki planning to launch the Z1000 or the Z750 also?

, there should be atleast 1 more color choice available. No one mentioned about orange and black. The orange one looked really gr8. Only single color for India is a little surprising

Is anyone aware if the rear 160 can be swapped with a 180 ?
would the swingarm and hugger accomodate it ?
Would the handling improve with it ?
Would the probiking guys offer aftermarket cans ?
If I fit one on my own, would it affect the warranty ?
Which can would be best suited for this bike ?
Any option of a damper ? Or is it not needed ?
One more thing . . . how much would a good quality paint job cost and where can it be done ?!
Too many questions, hope someone has the right answers
CheersLast edited by bikefreak; 06-08-2011, 10:40 PM.LIVE LIFE KING SIZE !!

the tyre will deform a bit. but a 20mm upsize should be a direct fit.Originally posted by bikefreak View PostIs anyone aware if the rear 160 can be swapped with a 180 ?

yes. warranty void.Originally posted by bikefreak View PostIf I fit one on my own, would it affect the warranty ?
IKM doesn't have any approved after-market cans.
i've seen a few Akras, TwoBros & Venoms online.Originally posted by bikefreak View PostWhich can would be best suited for this bike ?
will update with links in a bit.
with all these questions... you need to start your own "Mod my 650R Thread."

Single color option is not a good. When someone is spending 5 Lakh gandhis, they should be given Choice of few colors. Hopefuly, they will bring more colors in future. Bajaj's paint quality is very good. They can definitely paint it in there plants if they like.Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostNo one mentioned about orange and black. Wow!! Now this is a fantastic deal.
Kudos to Bajaj & IKM for launching the bike at the price most of us would have liked it to be (whether we were actually going to pick the bike or not). Not one post saying the bike is over-priced.
Anyone have information on the ex-showroom price in Bangalore, & the OTR price there?
Thanks for that guys! Due to work, I couldn't even reply earlier to your kind offer.Originally posted by neil.jericho View PostCome to think of it, I should catch the next flight out of here and book the bike in the Navi Mumbai showroom .....Originally posted by n_aditya View PostOne for me too please.
Originally posted by neil.jericho View Post@ Aditya - Do you think we should book a third one for Tibby?Originally posted by n_aditya View PostNah !!! He'll be more interested in the face lifted R15.
Anyway we'll decide once he's back and rides out more often with us.
If it is not too late now, I'd like one too (along with the facelifted R15 for the sporty posture).

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I think now Ninja 250R cost should be reduced from 3.11lac on road to some where 1.75 lac..else what's the comparision if 650R is for 4.46lac on road only 1.46 more to 250R....Originally posted by speedemon View PostGot a call from Probiking Vashi as well
On road - beilieve it or not - Rs4,62,767 in Mumbai, Rs4,46,000 in Vashi. I repeatedly asked - ex showroom or on-road, and the sales rep kept saying on-road. Maybe someone can cross-check!
@ satyen - logs on to sharekhan.com and puts a sell option on every damn thing!*
Decent finance schemes - the only thing missing now, but they are working on it, and will communicate to me tomorrow!
Bajaj should really shed the price then there will be real competion between Kawasaki Vs Honda......
Can any one tell me where is the hyosung bike show room in mumbai..???
