And this doesn't fall under "speculations" category! ;-)
If I can take the liberty of selecting best Q& A's, according to me the below fits the list

[SVI] Should I start saving money? (for new pulsars, of course)

[RB] The price points are in such a way that you don't need to save that much money!

[SVI] What model of Duke are you planning to launch? Is it the 200?

[RB] Yes. We'll first launch the Duke 200 here. It is an awesome bike and it will shake up the market

[SVI] What is its power output? Should I sell my Honda CBR?

[RB] The bike produces close to 25 BHP. It is an awesome bike and it will beat CBR in all aspects. CBR is a pretty heavy bike close to 163 kgs. Duke 200 is close to 139 kgs. So, you can expect much higher power-to-weight ratio. You should probably shift.

You're comparing apples to oranges here.
And by "plastic" you mean "fairing" yes?

BTW, Looks like KTM Duke 200 is not de-tuned for India. Wing riders who paid extra for plastic are not going to like this
ya dude dont take a shot. How were they suppose to know this would happen. On the other hand ma be some one likes touring and needs to have the fairing, to save him from the wind blast.

that everyone know bro...but if they priced it below 1.3L, then it would be a VFM choice

                  * Eye poppingly so, the KTM Duke 200 hit an indicated 127 Kph in sixth gear before the rev limiter kicked in at 10,000 rpm, says Alan Cathcart, the test rider who has reviewed the KTM Duke 200. Super short gearing for the Duke 200 then?
I think top speed is the only part that doesn't fit in properly here! that seems to be Duke 125 (unrestricted) top speed. You can't imagine 127kph top speed from an engine producing 25 bhp/19.5 NM and weighing just about 135kgs.

Besides, the said blog doesn't have too much credibility to go by it's articles.

Heart and logic believes that 127 is too less for such a machine. But maybe they want to restrict it at the top speed as it has no fairing to protect from wind blast and may have a more upright position. Plus lesser weight may not aid stabilty at top speed.. Does this make any sense? Just my imagination to believe the above article.
I too hope that this is not true.

Leave aside amateur Blogs (they'll do what they do), but didn't established journos also "claimed" 21-22 Ps for the R15 in 2008..?? Also didn't they also "claim" 1.5 lakhs for the Ninja 250R..??

By the way, this is the Original Alan Cathcart articl: Riding KTM's 125 Duke | Cycle News

I don't see a mention of the top speed for the 200 Duke in it.

From the article it is apparent (at-least to me) that Alan has ridden the 200

About bloggers, they were pre-launch speculation about power out put & price. Alan has it seems ridden to conclude. Do you suggest that the article by BSM is not genuine or aren't Alan's words?
