umm... Isn't that the duke 125??Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.
Rides : Honda CB Twister(Feb 2011 - Present) | TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS(Sept 2012 - May 2016) | Honda CBR250R C-ABS Repsol(March 2017 - Present)

Why sad?? do you seriously think it will just be 25-30kmpl, you can expect that kind of mileage from a Ninja 250, which produces 33 hp and weighs around 170 kg, same goes for CBR 250. IMO you can expect 30-35 kmpl from Duke 200, which is acceptable range for 11 litres fuel tank.Originally posted by h_bharti View PostHi all,

I think Payeng bhai is now shivering with Duke fever after seeing the tech specsOriginally posted by payeng View PostKTM 200 Duke at the on going 2011 Milan Motorcycle Show.

. Frankly, I didn't expect Duke 200 to come with such intimidating/mind blowing specs.
There, that's a clincher. I for one, wouldn't expect any detuning for this machine. Ninja 250 doesn't go through any detuning, why should this get detuned? Sorry, i'll take the 26hp/20NM torque/125kg dry weight combo, no thanks to detuning

You bet, I am delighted. Am expecting good finish and built quality as well.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostI think Payeng bhai is now shivering with Duke fever after seeing the tech specs

Only thing now left to know is the price for India.

sorry, didn't get your point there?? so what if Duke is made in India, why should that call for detuning?Originally posted by Ivin View PostNinja is not made in India, but Duke is ....
This is such a tempting proposition and on top of that it's perfect anti-thesis to CBR250.
CBR250 is faired, matured & civilised, where as Duke 200 is naked, young & brash in character. I'm really itching to lay my hands on one right now, but unfortunately that's not going to be anytime soon as i'm in US right now on a project
, but the upshot is as and when I come back, I don't need to look here and there to arrange money

Very nice information shared by all. And we still speculating on the dates. Dec 2011? Jan 2012?Originally posted by NitHinz View PostI too don't expect a de-tuning. My guess is that the other countries have some restrictions so they may not be updating it.
Also VFM matters to indians and bajaj knows that very well
...
Just waiting for the official launch....

I hope it's priced around non-ABS version of CBR250.Originally posted by payeng View PostYou bet, I am delighted. Am expecting good finish and built quality as well.

Either way it's just couple of months away now.. even pro biking showrooms are playing videos, that means at least launch is just around the corner.Originally posted by Shubz View PostVery nice information shared by all. And we still speculating on the dates. Dec 2011? Jan 2012?

And details about the bike will be made public by this month-end.

I had been to one of the PBK outlets in Indiranagar (Blore) a couple of months ago, the videos were playing. They took down my details, checked if I was a graduate or notOriginally posted by vrugonnab View PostI hope it's priced around non-ABS version of CBR250.

I was asking cos - if the announcement is for AE 2012, then the bookings start, then the deliveries.. All this could easily take another couple of months (few months?)The guy at the PBK outlet just behind my house was saying the same.. Next month (December) but no specific dates, no brochures etc. I am still waiting for the owner - who is hospitalized now, to return, who may give better answers?Originally posted by NikhilB View PostBased on my enquiries at PBK outlets, it is launching next month.
