But showcasing it at auto-expo and delaying the actual sales will affect their business for few months right? So there is a chance for not displaying it during Auto expo in that case.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostLOL. This is not going to make it to the Auto Expo. It's delayed beyond that. Rajiv Bajaj told to expect this bike by March. Vimal Sumbali, DGM, Bajaj said first half of 2012.

Did some tracing of the lines. A familiar Pulsar emerges. The tank is similar just pushed up. It is reminding me of XCD135. Specially the tank scoop.
The headlight will be a revolutionary design. I am thinking something like the crossplane crank R1's headlight. Some surfaces going in and a popping headlight[s]. Amazing!
Other features are interesting.
There is some odd structure beneath the tail. Looks odd. The exhaust will attract the most abuses from everybody! Just an ugly dabba bolted hanging down. The clip-ons appear stylized like the ZMR.
The best feature will be the tank. Big and muscly like the Yamaha FZ. Just look how high the tank rises. People will buy the Pulsar for that reason.
Afterall they just have to out-muscle the FZ and they will have won!
EDIT: It might be heavily based on this XCD.

It's liquid cooled that's why it looks thick.Originally posted by Satyamzma View PostI think it's 150cc bike and not 125-135cc as Engine block seems big

^ that was nice work from you as usual satya.
Could that odd structure beneath the tail and dabba like Exhaust means that there is room for an under-seat exhaust??
What say?MJ

I think they have to release it with the KTM brand name and not look for volumes. I'm looking to buy Stunner PGMFi and if they release it as KTM Duke 125, I'm going to change my decision. I totally feel its Value For Money.Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostThat 125cc produces 15 bhp guys. Is that less for 125cc? Why would bajaj create 135cc engine when better 125cc engine is already in production? Secondly today every new premium 150cc+ bike has rear disk brake. So why would Bajaj want to stay behind in their own game?
Now who want to cough 65K Rs. for a Fuel Injected, liquid cooled, high compression, mono-shock 125cc bike? Not many, I guess. This bike has a great potential to become a dud or a super hit.
Stunner PGMFi 125cc is priced on par with premium 150cc bikes like FZ, Dazzler. This bike would show Honda where they went wrong.

In my opinion that "odd" structure beneath the tail are ends of the rexin/cloth cover with which rear part is covered.Originally posted by men_in_jean View Post^ that was nice work from you as usual satya.

Final detailing is not done on the test bikes. Rear mud flap, chain cover etc are missing.
Also the "dabba" like exhaust can be covered up with heat resistant plastic (like the ones on the FZ/Fazer) which would also add to the looks.. also why not a belly pan to cover up the exhaust pining..??

The bike looks adequately tall... and the older pic has a nice front mudguard. And if thats a design reference, then those contours should show on the muscular tank and rear tooSuper CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

I remember reading in few articles (was it zigwheels?)that now Bajaj is foucussed on reducing the weight of their vehicles, and from past few launches we can see that the weight is on lower side. For eg Discover series, Pulsar 135. From this new pulsar spy shots its also clear that Bajaj want to improve the handling part as they are concentrating on lower CG by bring all the masses lower and also near the central portion of the bike.Originally posted by cicatrix View PostFrom the looks of it it appears that finally apna bajaj has understood the value of keeping the weight down for their bikes. This is a welcome departure from the popular mantra of more weight = sturdy bike!
If we compare the spy pics and ktm duke and see how the coverage of trelis frame over engine is, we can see that lower part of the frame croses the engine block. But if we look at the pulsar spy pic entire engine block is exposed/visible and we do not see any frame. Also the conventional tubular frame is not visible ahead of the engine. So is this new pulsar going to come with beam frame chasis? If yes, then its a revolutionary change for the pulsar.
Also is it me only that i see a difference in the engine block (not the head) on both the bikes. The one on the bike being ridden by driver with black helmet resembles the duke engine block but the one on other bike looks much smaller and little different from the KTM one, more smoother surface and black in colour like its made of cast iron. So are these two bikes with differenet cc's?
