i dont know if you guys are familiar with commercial vehicles and related stuff but the pulsar's exhaust looks a little bit like ashok leyland U truck's exhaust which is also box shaped structure near the fuel tank.Guys sorry for bringing up commercial vehicles in this thread hi hi...Originally posted by payeng View PostIn my opinion that "odd" structure beneath the tail are ends of the rexin/cloth cover with which rear part is covered.
Final detailing is not done on the test bikes. Rear mud flap, chain cover etc are missing.
Also the "dabba" like exhaust can be covered up with heat resistant plastic (like the ones on the FZ/Fazer) which would also add to the looks.. also why not a belly pan to cover up the exhaust pining..??

yeah you are right bro it will have more aesthetic appeal if something like that is done but i do like to say even without anything, the so called 'dabba' exhaust seem to be more beautiful than what the Fz16's exhaust looks without its heat resistant plastic shell
and yeah +1 on the engine fairing yeah a belly pan will look great.. something a bit inspired from the duke but yet different to look at will definitely look great and will again increase the sporty appeal...

Maybe then the duke also has a similar design hidden using FZ like plastics. Can Sunny/MG confirm this?Originally posted by Dman View Posti dont know if you guys are familiar with commercial vehicles and related stuff but the pulsar's exhaust looks a little bit like ashok leyland U truck's exhaust which is also box shaped structure near the fuel tank.Guys sorry for bringing up commercial vehicles in this thread hi hi...

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

May I know why do you want FI in 125cc?Originally posted by harish_hd View PostI think they have to release it with the KTM brand name and not look for volumes. I'm looking to buy Stunner PGMFi and if they release it as KTM Duke 125, I'm going to change my decision. I totally feel its Value For Money.
Stunner PGMFi 125cc is priced on par with premium 150cc bikes like FZ, Dazzler. This bike would show Honda where they went wrong.Last edited by lockhrt999; 12-26-2011, 11:06 PM.

the front mud guard design lines if follows on with the whole design theme i think we might get one hell of a good looking motorcycle. and now the mudguards seem to have been gone under wraps too i guess. But the thing that bugs me is that why is every one saying its a 125cc one ? I for one believe this one could be the new twin all ready to take on the game from phase 1 all over again.Since pulsar 150 and pulsar 180 (original twins) to some extent seem to be ones in the current pulsar lineup that seem to get outclassed and outdated in their respective categories and seem to be in the most desperate need for a new lease of life.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View Post+1
The bike looks adequately tall... and the older pic has a nice front mudguard. And if thats a design reference, then those contours should show on the muscular tank and rear too
The biggest reason for my belief that the spied pulsars could be the new twins is that, why should a company sent two very same machines together instead of sending one single machine for the whole test like every other company...?, unless and until the two machine could be similar looking different spec ed machines like what bajaj did on the previous pulsar 150 and 180 twins. Here again i wish to say that i could also be wrong...who could anticipate what bajaj has in its mind... its just my speculation..

+1, I too believe that Bajaj will come again with P150/180 twins.Originally posted by Dman View PostSince pulsar 150 and pulsar 180 (original twins) to some extent seem to be ones in the current pulsar lineup that seem to get outclassed and outdated in their respective categories and seem to be in the most desperate need for a new lease of life.

Me too believe in this. They are 150 and 180 Cc. [First spied by Bajaj guys, there are 2. Then Motorbeam spied, there are 2. Now Indiancarsbike spied, again there are 2 bikes.
Fingers crossed......

yup...but both conditions are applicable here...lets wait & seeOriginally posted by Nithesh View PostIs there a Rule that says one cannot test ride one model with two similar spec bikes? Maybe theyre getting inputs from the 2/3 different riders riding on the same road in the same conditions.

you are right on bro but we cannot completely rule out the possibility you know and as i said earlier its just my speculation.yeah of course i must say what you said can also be a possibility. may be bajaj might also be looking to gauge responses of two different riders to know what they feel about the bike and also to test the bikes according to different riding styles also.It definitely cannot be ignored either.Originally posted by Nithesh View PostIs there a Rule that says one cannot test ride one model with two similar spec bikes? By the way is it just for me or does anyone of you guys feel the front fairing and the headlight seem to have a very slight design cue of the suzuki Bking or atleast some what near in character...? but then again it could also be my old eyes playing with me as the two of them are in a need for a new pair of spectacles i guess..Last edited by Dman; 12-27-2011, 03:42 PM.

Manufacturers typically test machines and not rider feedback. They would get the rider feedback from a slightly different audience after the majority of the work is done. Its typically from some who knows about the bike and are not hired for some 1000rs a day odd job.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Drum on a 180cc(even 14PS machines in India now have a rear disc) is not acceptable, or the machine should be sluggish enough to justify it.Originally posted by vrugonnab View Post+1, I too believe that Bajaj will come again with P150/180 twins.

no offence to you but what is need of a rear disc for a 150- even a 180 cc bike if you remember we used to have pulsar 180 classic and all other version including the current 180 UG4 version and even pulsar 200 with drum brakes. Yes of course having rear disc brake at rear is much more effective than the drums. But what is the need, if the drums are performing great and effortlessly for all the so called small capacity machines and since it needs less maintenance costs and also help to reduce price tag at least by a bit which for Indians in general will be always good as more people can enjoy owning a good and comparatively bigger machine than usual and also there by the company can also become successful in converting the otherwise commuting customers to the thrill seekers and there by making more enthusiastic riders out of the ordinary Indian people.I believe only in the case of highly focused small capacity machines need rear disc brakes like in case of machines like R15,CBR 150,duke 200 p220 ect and so on or at least our country must have good roads every where that can support these kinds of high performance low capacity machines. In the Indian roads for now drums are adequate at least for the ordinary 150- 180 cc class ordinary road bikes.Still if manufactures are able to provide more for less, then its always welcome.Originally posted by kochumvk View PostDrum on a 180cc(even 14PS machines in India now have a rear disc) is not acceptable, or the machine should be sluggish enough to justify it.

And by the way saw your rendering...superb work hats off...though i would say it could have been a bit more nice if you could have done it with a bit more finesse but still nonetheless great effort...Originally posted by kochumvk View PostDrum on a 180cc(even 14PS machines in India now have a rear disc) is not acceptable, or the machine should be sluggish enough to justify it.
