Yes Paaji...happened to see two of them during lavasa ride today.....

Rear disc was present....also 120 size rear tyres.....the front headlight was bit broader than ktm....the Orange thing on engine was missing....it is full dc.....it sounded awesome....I was on 117kmph(speedo indicated)...when they just ripped past me....and disappeared in horizon.....

They stopped few kms ahead....but due to a truck I couldn't stop my bike next to them....happened to get a good glance though.....and by the time I turned my bike to go back to place they stopped they started ripping again and disppeared...

Seems like the pics posted here were just readers sent down by company for guessing game.....maybe they tried putting different pieces together and now came up with final product ....

Is it different from the P135 styling?

          Why..?? Doesn't the 150 cc R15 and the 150 cc FZ/Fazer co-exist..??

Restricting our imagination just to engine cc is so layman like line of thought.

But here it is Bajaj and KTM through bajaj, r8? and if both the bikes use more or less same engines the price factor of bajaj would win over ktm na?

Don't worry, Bajaj will make sure that there is enough difference between both the bikes, aren't they selling P150/D150/B150 at different price points? They know how to do it.

KTMs get FI, dual disks, inverted front forks, and the KTM branding! Pulsars will get more desi materials and lower equipment levels. Thats how they will be able to save more money.

Yeah but they fall in two different categories?
Any Tom Dick and Harry can differentiate between a fully faired sports/performance bike(R15) and a naked/semi faired street bike(FZ/Fazer). They perform on two different levels.

The Katoom and the pulsars are two naked bikes that fall into the same "sports/peformance bike" category. They are most likely going to be on the same level in terms of performance.
So if the Pulsar is as good as the Duke interms of performance, it is most likely that the Mango man will pick the cheapest of the two i.e. the Pulsar whereas a real enthusiast will go for the Duke.

No wonder Bajaj has been delaying the Pulsar all this while. Maybe theyre going to study the market reception of the Duke and then decide when to release the Pulsars

As long as buyer ends up with a Bajaj/KTM product, they will not worry too much about it.

Is that your assumption? apparently an illogical one, Bajaj will make sure that there is enough to differentiate between Pulsar & Duke, be it on equipment levels or performance levels, so that any tom, dick and harry can understand what they stand for. Pulsar was, is & always will stand for affordable performance, while Duke will slug it out with premium category i.e. CBR/R15. Why do you think they are going to produce a dud in terms of sales by bringing in competition from their own stables?

                            • ^^ theres a difference in engine....one has air cooled and one has liquid cooled....so a overall difference in power is expected.....and as mentioned above KTM will be in premium category....not the pulsar!!!!

I would describe Duke closer to FZ than R15. Albeit a much more powerful one. And by virtue of its looks alone, anyone could differentiate between the fully-faired-leaning-forward-riding-posture R15 from the naked-more-upright-riding-posture of Duke. Hard to put the two in the same "sports/performance" (as you put it) category. Can't say exactly what category but Duke and R15 does not belong in the same category.

I think as far as new pulsar is concern, it may be more or less much like current pulsar I.e. sports-commuter(pillion friendly)-tourer-performance-street etc. difference being more modern in design.
