I think non-rear disk version from pics will be 125cc carb version of duke 125 producing 15 bhp or more and tuned for better fuel efficiency. They probably have other bigger siblings being tested somewhere else and nobody has spied them yet. If that 125cc engine makes 15bhp (current P150 makes same) then imagine what power new 150cc and 180cc would be making? 17 and 19 bhp?

yes i also have the same thought exactly if you ask me. As of now p135 is the odd one out in the the entire pulsar range when it comes to having spawned out of the same age old platform that the current generation pulsars have been using since a decade. And that not only made the bike feel more up to date and current but also gave the baby pulsar quiet an edge over the competition on almost all aspects and parameters. Now back to the point, even though p135 makes an impressive package on offer as of now with 4valve dtsi bajaj head , it will always be an odd one out when the new generation pulsars arrive as they will be loosely or if you could put it more clearly, will partially be based on bajaj-ktm duke platform as everyone might already be knowing.SO iam saying this will create problems in achieving economies of scale problems in the manufacturing process. But due to this reason, i suspect that the upcoming pulsars will be a new generation 2012 pulsar 135LS as through this the p135 can be brought into the same platform (i don't think it'll be tough for bajaj auto to spawn out an all new 135 cc mill from the new shared platform) which the newer pulsar will be based on and also by this way the new p135 can act as a stepping stone into the pulsar brand and the current line up configuration will there by could continue without much further alteration and thereby allowing the pulsar brand to stay permanently fixed to its primary core value without getting further diluted again. now if we take into account the stuff that rajiv bajaj had said in various interviews (and mainly in the interview by and with the russian magazine ZARULEM) we will get the clear idea behind about the future strategy & market positioning for the new pulsar. He has clearly mentioned in the interview that the launch of the new pulsar will help them achieve a particular preset sales target .all this points to one conclusion for me that it could be a p135/ p150. But then again, i could also be wrong...its just my speculation.

I would stick to my point, may be I am wrong but as you said we agree it is 200cc, will get to know in a few days.Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostIf you mean same engine as used in Duke 200, unlikely. Sources says it will be SOHC with twin sparks. Duke 200 id DOHC with single spark. But my guess is 200cc, thats where we agree.

India is getting hot
so Duke is going to be launched first.....?Originally posted by payeng View PostWith the "co-developed" and "made by" Bajaj KTM 200 Duke generating rave reviews.. the next generation of Pulsars should be nothing short of "awesome"..!!
The slight delay is probably deliberate and to let the "Duke" dust to settle.

Exactly.. I feel Bajaj will wait for atleast a month after Duke's launch, they would certainly wait so that Duke 200 gets its share of lime light.Originally posted by payeng View PostWith the "co-developed" and "made by" Bajaj KTM 200 Duke generating rave reviews.. the next generation of Pulsars should be nothing short of "awesome"..!!

And, I thought Duke 250 is next in line after Duke 200, is it not so?? are they going to launch 690 & 990 straight away?? I think it's sensible to launch them after Duke 350 is launched.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

AFAIK Duke 350 is still in development and a year away from launch. There is no need to go sequentially in order of cubic size for launches.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostExactly..
