It is on LBS Road between Kanjur Marg (closer) & Bhadup railway station. Since you will be coming from Andheri, keep looking out at your right side once you cross Kanjur Marg station. I will be visiting it this afternoon hoping less crowd to admire this new beauty in town.Originally posted by arshkhan9 View Post

thanks for the tips..Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostROFL. I've learned few things from my attempts. Use heavy English and idioms. Use unique username which is not associated with any other website. And in reason section write something like 'I want to post ownership experience of R8'
or something like 'An owner's take on Lamborghini Supperlegga'
. Your chances will increase.
Sorry for a little OT.
I love xbhp BTW.
will try to follow it in my next attempt.

The KTM showroom is in Kanjunmarg. If travelling by road from Lokhandwala, go by the below route.Originally posted by arshkhan9 View Postrony sir where is the showroom exactly ?? i really want to go and see this beast
. i knw the one prbiking showroom is in vashi bt that way too far for me to travel because i stay in lokhanwala andheri !!
Lokhandwala -> Western Express Highway -> Jogeshwari Vikhroli Link Road (Keep an eye out for the Bhandup exit) -> The exit should take you on LBS road (take a left) -> Couple of KMs down, the showroom will be on your right.
The Bajaj website has a map pointing to the dealer (after you search for a PBK dealer in Mumbai). That should help.I like 'em Naked
Blah Blah Blah!

But,
That isn't such a bad thing.
That definitely isn't... And noone said that it is...
Team BHP never stopped me from voicing my opinion on ANY goddamn thing! What they do insist on is discipline. If you cannot be disciplined, you are not welcome.
Neither xBhp is stopping you to raise your concerns here... As far as replies on your posts is concerned, it is just a reply. Even others are free to support/cross your thoughts as you are free to do the same... and they did it with a funny touch to it.
Hope it's not a bad thing either...
How about a little truth? That works just fine IMO. I am also a very recent member (I joined TBHP in October last year. >2 years after joining xBHP). Truth worked absolutely fine for me. And I use the exact same ID on TBHP as I use on xbhp/thinkdigit/google/badaforums/xda/rimweb/mouthshut/Facebook. xBHP has given me a lot of knowledge and so has TBHP so I cannot talk badly about either. But if you want to call a spade, TBHP is the place to do it, in that matter, xBHP is actually restrictive.
May I know how can you say that? As I said earlier, you are free to post your thoughts. It's just OT that is prohibited...
Then I guess passion, ability to contribute relevant content and genuine requirement counts more than English grammar.
+1 to that..
Nothing of that sort is required. Just post genuine reasons why you want to join. They are rightly not letting everyone in. Only fill the entry form when you have a genuine reason to. There is no use joining a forum just for the heck of it. Thats the reason we see quality posts on TBHP and OTs here on xBHP. By strict access control, TBHP is doing its readers a big big service. This obviously is missing here on xBHP which has slowly turned into a MadHouse IMO.
Ohhh, it will be better if anyone dosen't post things like this... You are much much senior than me. So please, with due respect I urge you not to take anything seriously...
P.S.: Since this post is grossly OT, I will delete this post myself in exactly 8 hours. Till then @all readers, please feel free to report this post to the mods by clicking here.
Don't want to comment on it as I'm not a MOD...

hmmn, loved reading your post, mate. and here's my reply. i know it is grossly OT, but still... and i too will delete after a day. and i don't think anybody will report your post to mods.
and one more thing, there's no genuine requirement of joining either xbhp or tbhp, one can always enjoy biking, even without joining xbhp or any other forum. and as far as knowledge accessibility is concerned, you can always read everything on tbhp and xbhp, nothing is hidden.so, i feel there is no such thing like genuine requirement too join a forum.Originally posted by antz.binFirst of all, sorry everyone for the OT.

Team BHP never stopped me from voicing my opinion on ANY goddamn thing! What they do insist on is discipline. If you cannot be disciplined, you are not welcome. well, while filling the form, i was very disciplined. still got rejected.

well... to tell you the truth,....truth didn't helped me. it might have worked for you. but it didn't ...for me. i am also not talking badly of team-bhp, just raising my doubts about its policy of accepting ppl.

ability to contribute relevant content may be required, but how do u know it about a person before he is a member, by reading his entry form, thats why the other member said... fake it and they will accept you. tell them, you want to buy a nano, they will not accept you (happened with me) tell them you have a mustang GT and want to buy an SLK, they might accept you. genuine requirement does not count

Have a few queries w.r.t the duke 200, in general.
* Does it have an open loop or closed loop ECU system? Is there a lambda sensor present in the exhaust line?
* Given the high power to weight ratio, will duke 200 be able to do power wheelie in stock?
* I wish to learn a bit drifting, and feel the duke 200 may be apt for that. Guys with some experience in drifting please share your thoughts on this. Also, is there a place / institute/ person whom i could get in touch learn the same, in and around Bangalore?
* Could the alloy wheel be a deterrent for off-roading? Have seen some of the alloys develop cracks when subjected to some moderately harsh terrain.
* what level of customization is possible with this bike? the ride posture from the pics seem to be a bit on the sporty side. Would it allow me to use an after market handlebar to make the posture lean towards upright? I mean cable lengths etc.
* does it have the hazard light feature?
I understand most of my queries may not make sense as the bikes is not yet on streets. But sharing them anyways to get some thoughts.

With a handlebar instead of clip-on, you could make it straighter. Given the current angle of the handlebar, moving it towards you should not stress the cables.

I can answer this question. Read the first ride report on BS Motoring, and they say the torque flow is too much that it seems like the bike does not have a bottom end, it directly has a mid range (not the exact words, all they meant was it has strong flow of torque from idle). Thats how torquey the machine is, and thats what you need for wheelies.Originally posted by nasirkaka View PostHave a few queries w.r.t the duke 200, in general.

To me, the posture looks more like a sports tourer, where one might have to slightly bend forward. what i meant was a posture similar to RD or even an Enfield type. Guess a test ride would give a better idea.It already is an upright sitting position, dont know why you thought it was sporty. The legs would bend, the back would not. Motorcycle Ergonomics has KTM Duke 125.
That sounds helpful. My concern is covering a 75-100km stretch at a go without straining my back. After that, we anyways butt break for chai and a lill stretching. With a handlebar instead of clip-on, you could make it straighter. Given the current angle of the handlebar, moving it towards you should not stress the cables.
Nice to hear that. Was not too sure on a power wheelie on a 200 mil. coming to test ride: Is is possible for a few of us to coordinate a day and time where we can request the PB guys to take the bike to relatively open road, where we could try and get a feel of various aspects. For eg, in and around Probiking showroom at Indiranagar, Bangalore, is too crowded to get a feel of engine strain at 90/100kmph. Am sure if we approach them as a group, they would consider.I can answer this question. Saw Duke 200 today and I am mightily impressed with the overall package. Looked excellent to me. Some of my observations -
1. Top to bottom, front to back, bike looked well shaped. I did not find anything ugly. Top notch quality. Rear looks of bike gives bigger bike's looks.
2. Headlight would have been killer if had sported projector lamp.
3. With rear rim size of 110, even 150 section tyre looked perfect.
4. Pillion seat height was little higher even for me (5.8) and small. Bad for long commutes with pillion. Staff there said, rear suspension could be adjusted for little tweaks in seat height though.
5. When sat on bike, felt just like sitting on FZ16.
6. Bike is a screamer with a sweet idle exhaust note (best than any indian bike)
7. People were just starting the bike to hear exhaust note, but found bike hot than I would expect. New bike may be?
8. 90 days waiting period and 1.33L OTR price here in Mumbai. I overheard him saying that prices will change from / post March. don't remember exactly, so need to confirm on this.
9. Staff was quite informative and genuine. Quoted fuel efficiency of 25-30.
Had I not been bitten by touring bug, this is the bike for me. Only draw backs from a tourer's perspective - small tank capacity, small and higher pillion seat which does not look saddle bags friendly. The Zmaniac - 2 wheeled enthusiast

I believe that it will be an open loop one. AFAIK closed loop ECUs are costly and that is why companies uses open-loop in lower displacement bikes to keep the cost low.Originally posted by nasirkaka View PostHave a few queries w.r.t the duke 200, in general.
