that analog meter looked like a digital meter in earlier spy pics

waiting for it to be released and to get the tech specs...wanna get a new small bike...confused between p135 or this new discover...

expecting bajaj to get 4 valve engines in all their new bikes...

the design language reminds me of the XCD135 to a certain extent..except for those horrible looking mud flaps, it looks quite mature

so complete analog speedo.headlamp design is much improved.rear panel has become more sharp.

the console has 3 sections...first is the analog speedo
2nd is analog fuel meter

what is the third section...looks like a digital meter or some sorts...any guesses...or is it only for those neutral light turn indicator n stuff?

Completely agree with you. Thank God they changed the headlight shape. The old discos had toad like headlamps which I never liked. This one looks decent. Yes that analog meter looked like digi meter in early pics.

Mayank it should not be a digital meter. Its too small and other basic info for a commuter are all displayed at other places like speedo, trip, fuel gauge and tacho won't be there in that small place. Also we can't see any other place for N, <-, -> so these lights would be placed in that third section.

This shouldn't be a 4-valve machine since there is not tachometer in this bike and commuters need a sedate machine so they are better off with a 2- valve design.

Overall looks decent for a commuter. The mud flap and gigantic tyre huggers are eye sore. Very nice that it comes with a kick start. The tank, the side and the rear profile, alloys are excellent for a commuter. I like it

the headlamp design could have been better.

Finally Bajaj changed Ugly Headlamp of discover... it's really good now..

It might be too early, but personally i did not like the new look of Discover. Perhaps might be the impact from P200NS and its design lines

well liking towards the design depends on person to person
but i guess we all accept that it looks much better than the earlier bloated up version...

also we shudnt forget its a commuter so it styling is controlled

however i agree it cud have been a bit better but these look perfectly fine to me too...hope its all DC..

well hmc's passion too has a small digital meter but yes its probably for the turn indicators and neutral light...tachometers are almost useless for commuters and i suppose even experienced bikers dont use the tacho...gear shifting is done by intinct..
mr rajiv bajaj said p200ns technology will come to discover...we dont expect all but personally i wud like a 4 valve engine...4 valves just better the fuel and air intake and i dont think shud be a special feature for performance machines

yes they shud change the rear tyre hugger or when consumers will buy it they will get it removed..

the bike looks pulsar 135ish with better alloy wheels and a monoshock...i guess bajaj shud score a winner with this bike...i like it...we shud expect the changes in the final model(final p200ns was very different from those spy pics)

also we know its the analog console and the spy news said the bike was near red lining on tacho...this one doesnt have a tacho...so was it a digi console that time or was the speedometer mistaken for tachometer?

i suppose the one who clicked pics got to see the bike very closely...couldnt have mistaken speedometer for tacho...

The original discover had some originality. This styling looks a mish-mash of P135, Apache, Hunk... IMHO.
But sure hope the performance has increased.

mixed news online...when first it was seen they called it 2013 discover and now with new pics without camouflage....some sites say it is almost ready for launch and to get it on road...lets hope it is officially unveiled in may as told by rajiv bajaj in an interview
