    true, i don't understand why people think the tail light is similar to P135.

    exhaust can is also not good.

      my bad.i meant turn-indicator.edited it.
      exhaust is short for mass centralization imo just like p135.
      and the question remains why do i race?

        Where can you see a P135 tail lamp?
        i too am sorry..the tail "turn indicators" the pointy ones...originally introduced in XCD

        engine not struggling at 108 kph(but near the red line)....gives me a feeling it cud be a new p135(the current discovers struggle at that speed i guess)..not the final model...we saw many things getting added up in the final p200ns from what we saw in the spy pics....

        if not i guess bajaj wants to put discover against bikes like the unicorn and gs150r for its sports commuter segment and take pulsar series to a whole new level leaving behind the current competition...

          it would have been a new p135 if it had clip ons,split grap rail,split seat.

            but yes its highly unlikely that they wont have added these basic things (which are a standard fitment for pulsars) and kept it for later...

            but i think they shud have the clip on handle bars for all their bikes..atleast 125cc+

              What's the advantage of clip-on's apart from adding to looks? Even Duke 200 doesn't have any clip-on's, still looks smashing.

                better handling around corners.although pulsar clip-ons are just show-off .

                  Guys, one man's word shouldn't be taken that seriously. Who knows how stressed out it must have been at 108? Maybe the guys on P220 didn't hear it that well. I suppose Discover 150 can do 108 kmph on speedo.

                  My guess is that, this is the new Discover 150 or maybe a Discover 180, considering a Monoshock and a possible Chassis upgrade. Quite unlikely to be anything else. My reasons:

                  First the biggest bike in the Pulsar series was updated, that is P220. I think now the biggest Discover should be updated similarly. In a top first strategy.

                  And you know that the premium commuter also needs mileage, so obviously Discover 150 is the one that desperately needs further mileage upgrade. Other two Discovers are doing good.

                    150 probably but not 180. They need to capture the volume segment. If it becomes a 180cc bike it would hamper them. It would be either 125 or 150.

                      180cc would be overkill for Discover brand. Agreed on mileage improvement part, in fact Discover 150 is already good on power/pickup front. Now with this test mule, it appears that Discover series is about to get goodies as well. So, all they need to concentrate is on improving mileage rather than anything else.

                        true.all they need is little bump in power and little bump in mileage.
                        discover 150 already has a better power to weight ratio than pulsar 150,so it is good on performance already
                        .and about goodies,bajaj sure knows how to shower goodies.

                        my wish=a discover 135 killing all the conservative 150s.[sz-r,unicorn.hunk,cbz,achiever]

                          I don't even think power bump is required, they just need to concentrate on mileage & styling and at the same time make sure that styling is in line with brand positioning. I mean they should not go overboard with Discover brand styling keeping in mind that it's positioned as a commuter brand.

                            knowing bajaj power bump is inevitable.
                            btw conservative commuters these days are growing liking towards pick-up.

                              Guys still the 100 cc segment is where the mass market is and volume generated is huge ; honda (dream yuga)seems to be vying on it and hero(using honda's engines) is market leader in it ; seems bajaj doesnt want to lose in any segment introducing the changes in 100cc and then bringing things up in 125cc and 150cc would be a much better way to go ; with the rise in petrol prices is bajaj gonna surprise us with some thing giving more mileage than the current discos (>100kmpl my dad has a disco100 under very sedate riding he gets 65 in city conditions and 76 in highway driving; any disc owners , sorry for O.T)
                              An rpm meter will be a welcome addition;
                              disc brakes , monoshocks digital meters seems bajaj is going all guns at competitors not even missing any bells and whistles ;
                              bajaj has positioned discover in commuter segment unlike pulsar in sports bike segment so chances of a D180 can be ruled out;
                              The straigth handle bars , grab rails clearly state its a commuter (must be too sporty in current indian bike scenario as it cruised @108kmph )

                                Yeah maybe its not a 180... So, that would mean that Discover 150 would be updated so soon, hardly an year or so after its release? Well, typical Bajaj efforts.

                                Actually, I got confused thinking about the monoshock although yes it can be in a 150cc too like Unicorn. Also, my P180 returned 56 kmpl in the best scenario, so who knows maybe a long stroke 160 or 180 with DTSi and 4 valves, can exceed it by a good margin...(?)
                                And I think its unlikely to be a 100cc or 125cc too.
