pulsar would atleast sport a pair of clip-ons,so it is definitely not a pulsar.
i wish atleast discover sports clip-ons.

i would pity the competition that day when they will be forced to stop commanding premium over home-grown manufacturers.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

If the pulsar 200NS is anything to go by, that day is not too far. The cost advantage due to sheer volumes is helping Bajaj in a grand way and I can only imagine what they can do to the Indian biking scene in a couple of years time
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

How can you say the headlamp assembly is same when it is completely camouflaged . I agree the visor looks similar but the headlamps would be changed for sure.
I just wanted to know on which Discover the Digital Speedo comes since I have not seen it on any discover and can't find it even on Bajaj's site.

Good question, because I was thinking exact same thing too, but I found that:

              1. It has a kick start.
              2. Plus, the handlebars are not clip ons (which is not possible for a Pulsar since even 150 and 135 come with clip ons).
              3. The front windscreen resembles the existing Discover a bit.
              4. Drum brakes at the rear.

This is a good strategy if it is Discover 150 or 150+, as this bike should give more to the premium commuters without affecting the cost factor, as Discover 100 should be unaffected price-wise.

Monoshock is a good news, as that might point towards further chassis changes.

D3Si (Digital 3 Spark ignition) could probably give it a highway mileage of around 75-80 kmpl so I HOPE it is there. But again, the prime reason for development of D3Si was the extremely wide bore of the Duke 200. So, we can't confirm it right now...

let me refresh your memory about the last of old discover 135 dts-i spawned out from the current pulsar platform. It came out with a couple of additions like the digital meters set-up complete with an analogue tachometer too but they also took out some of the good stuff from the first d135 when it was launched at the first place like o ringed chains... i hope now you remember.

it is a discover. that is for sure because as per Rajiv bajaj interviews and plans, they have planned to upgrade the entire line up both the pulsars and discovers and possibly even the RE brand of passenger vehicles too (which we don't have to mind). And as per the interviews i think mr.bajaj had indicated a new discover also being in the pipeline and the latest interview( which i think is the latest) is also noting an exciting new product in the months of june-july and as per launch schedules patterns they had been following up to now, i don't think they would launch a pulsar within 6 months of the launch of another pulsar.

Nah, that can't confirm that it is a Discover or Pulsar. Does the current P150, P135 comes with rear discs?? No. I agree on the other 3 points though esp on the clip-ons.
Personally I don't think it would come with 3-spark since 125-150cc head would be too small and not very useful accomodating the three. I expect Twin-sparks controlled by ECU.

about rear disc... i had heard somewhere in the past that bajaj is gonna position the pulsars solely as premium and focused youth and sports oriented brand with still leaving top space for even more premium brands like ktm and kwackers being at the top of the chain, and the discover as a sports commuter oriented brand. And to fill in the gaps left by the current sports commuters now under the pulsar brand which is the pulsar twins 150 and 180 dtsi respectively, bajaj might /may be could use the discover brand, and by that way the discover's brand positioning could be made crystal clear and also could be made more distinctive without being positioned too close to the basic commuters like that of the platina series and the boxer brand and folks, don't be fooled looking at the rear drum set up and the ordinary U handles as the final product might even have discs... bajaj is that much unpredictable... remember the case with that of the p200 NS during the testing phase with no rear rear discs and the final version spotting one.So if bajaj plans to position\should i say re position the new discover as a 150-180cc sports commuter (if they are thinking so) you could even expect a clip on setup as well as maybe even a rear disc as fellow competitors like honda (which bajaj has now in their eyes as a main threat as well as a target) as well as hero motocorp and tvs seem to be offering a rear disc and clip ons on their respective 150-180cc sports commuter offerings the unicorn dazzler, the hunk and cbz extreme duo and the sporty and racing derived sports commuter contender the apache RTR series...so why could also bajaj join the race so in the end i got only one thing to say, its bajaj do not underestimate since its only a discover.

A new pic of the next Gen Disco spied

Here we can notice some things
                          - The rear part of the bike is very different from any Bajaj bike and looks big and very decently designed.
                          - Muffler looks good.
                          - Front fender goes a little more down which gives it a more sporty look.
                          - Tank height probably is increased and tank looks grippy.
                          - Rear hugger with the big rear No. plate holder looks little odd to me.
                          - Disc brakes are 240mm only but looking at the competition even Unicorn's Disc brakes are 240mm.
                          - Grab rails look real good and look useful too.
                          - RVMs are edgy and have a nice shape.

the rear tyre hugger kinda looks similer to the p200 ns hugger.is that extended tank shroud?grab-rail seems re-designed.
