Saw the New Green TVS 160 on Sunday when I visited the Oklha SVC of TVS. In flesh, doesn't look that bad actually (The earlier Apache is better still). May be when you look hard then you may find the fault but at a glance doesn't look bad with renewed colour scheme. Seemed bit bigger too than the older gen!

I got to spend some time with New RTR 180. I must say, this bike grows up on you. U may not like its looks in first sight. But with time you kinda start liking it and after few days it looks beautiful.
The all-black version looks really good. Specially with the Pilot lamps lit up. Black green is beautiful too.

No matter how old it gets. A RTR with a good pair of Tyres is always a treat to ride . It can turn you on like watching Pornstar Punishments on a 42inch HDTV .

The MS paint version is looking a lot better & proportional than the original. Hope TVS has a look at this & learn something.

    Played with MSPaint

I own Apache RTR 160 and I love the bike.

Spent about 10 min with MSPaint and the bike feels better IMHO...

Not going OT on TVS thread is "not" fanboyism.
The thread is about TVS unveiling new RTR not "What Bike one should go with"

@Mods : Sorry for this OT, thread can be locked (if needed)

@Samarth I do apologise to anyone who felt offended by my act of comparing and going OT but I really meant only to ask shahbaz to reconsider his decision. And I did assume that his budget was under 1Lakh(Pardon me shahbaz if I was wrong) hence the elaboration about the other bike's advantages. That being said I still am waiting for the bigger-engined TVS apache. Also I really want to get the feel of the new RTR I test-rode the new 160 at the showroom but it only had done about 18.5 kms and the engine hadn't opened up yet.Can anybody who's got a new one with more than 1k kms on the odometer give a comparision as to how exactly they've tried to improve the bike.
P.S; When I test rode the first gen RTR at the showroom a few years ago the test bike at the time had about 450kms on the odo but felt wilder than the new one I rode last week.

@ Vignesh: The bike you mentioned maybe a better overall deal, but we can't support Off Topic discussions (OT). Because then members will start going into each and every thread saying that, this is better than that, eventually disturbing the order.

That said, in one way, I do agree with you. Its getting difficult to choose RTR's as your longterm machines anymore, its design and the competition being the biggest reasons.
Let's hope TVS get itself together. Lately their sales are also going negative.

Guys, If anyone has anything meaningful to share, some more self snapped pics, some other info, etc. then please do so... Lack of useful new posts might get this thread locked later on. Thanks.

I am in no way claiming that the brand Bajaj is better but I am stating a fact that the RTR180 abs is no more the same attractive proposition it used to be about two weeks ago when the p200ns's pricing was not revealed. Now the P200ns is pegged at 94K and the RTR180 abs is priced at 90K.Now apart from the excellent ABS system the RTR has no other advantage (Atleast on paper).
That means for you "PRICE" is the only and the major factor *Pheww*

P.S : I am out of this discussion
