CBR150 will outperform R15 anytime...I read that during the Honda make one race events CBR150RRs lap time was 6 seconds quicker than the quickest time of R15!!! Also, the CBR doesnt suffer from lack of punch at lower rpms like R15

...the headlight of the latest CBR125RR reminds of the previous generations Fireblade

Thats simply because the CBR150 is a short stroke motor unlike the R15 which is a long stroke motor!

Whether it is a 125 or 150cc, it should be in performance segment, and not commuter segment again.

We never heard in past that Honda is coming up with a 125cc scooter. Only we heard that they are entering in 100cc bike segment. The honda's manager is clearly mentioned it is a 125+cc bike. Lets hope, Honda wakes up and get something better at least now.

Well, the CBR150 was doing almost the same lap time as race prep'd R15s. However note that the CBR's were not completely stripped down. If the full on weight reduction was also done, it would have been another second faster probably.
The CBRs were doing early 2:13s..best lap times by emmanual clarke. Killer has also done that much on his Group D R15 and RTR.

Please clarify a little Joel. If memory serves, you've participated in the 'One make' race on a CBR150R right...

Why was such a race organized by Honda India with CBR150s from outside? surely it has something to do with their marketing strategy.. i believe it was a test before the launch.. No one is gonna sit idle losing their market share in the 150cc premium class.. actually, the premium class gives the company better profits than the commuter segment.. and its the 150cc class that has shown the better growth in the last couple of years. So, i strongly believe its the CBR150 which is in the anvil. The FZ has hit the market like a storm being a great poser bike. This is what the average indian wants with a decent economy. Im also sure that the Pulsars & RTRs are also in the line of a make-over. Why wasnt the TVS menace never got launched during the diwali? the FZ impact i believe... they will launch it in a better-poser shape.. even if its late by six months.. Every "average indian "150cc buyer will expect a fatter rear tyre than the 140s from now on..

I will seriously consider selling my 220, if the CBR150 is launched.

                      17Bhp, Short-Stroke, 115Kgs, 6 Speed, 160Kmph topspeed....WoW. Even after de-tuning it would still be simply AWESOME!

In order to launch CBR150 Honda must work on its price we don't want too expensive 150cc

@ Praful & ravi: Guys, you know it's a short stroke! and a short stroke single cylinder suffers from vibrations. It would be there in the CBR 150 too... Do think again before conforming!

Personally, I believe that Manufacturers should not degrade their "Litre Class Brands" to this extent. Kawasaki is fine, with the smallest Ninja still being 250cc ... and Honda & Yamaha is bringing on "R"s & "CBR"s in such low displacement ...
