trust me if the CBR150 is tweeked with the PGM-FI, it'll feel hopeless. An FI will always make an engine more linear. Looses all the wildness and turns mild. Carbs are better. The PGM-FI by Honda is always very conservative.sigpic

Hi Joel, but then dont you think Honda will sooner or later give it an FI because that is the future everywhere
and I dont think that it will be wrong.
Also, making the power delivery linear will make it more rideable and there will be more takers for it than only just the enthusiastic bunch. Because, please correct me if I am wrong here, right now you are only thinking of CBR150RR from a racer's point of view and that's why you are in favor of carbs, right?

Yeah all the bikes WILL take the FI route, if not for performance but for emission sake atleast. Sooner or later for sure.
An Fi system can be made wild as well, but most choose to keep it super linear. Honda especially likes the super silky linear way. Refinement is their top-priority.sigpic

Yup. Emission norms upwards of Bharat Stage IV are gonna force introduction of FI systems.Originally posted by Joel View PostYeah all the bikes WILL take the FI route, if not for performance but for emission sake atleast. Sooner or later for sure.

And the Honda approach to making bikes is seen clearly with the way they've gone with their flagship Blade...I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

Fi is the future. gone are the times when you could just keep on wasting fuel through insanely powerful engines with raw unadultered output
(read : american muscle)
you see ill rather compromise a bit on perfomance and go for FI so that ill be able to ride more out of every drop of fuel in the tank
its not the question of kmpl figure here, its rather the efficiency.
@Joel
dude you did see the CBR150 at the track right ? so it looks the same as the ones you get on the net ? the stance rather seems bit upright and the mags seem extremely similar to the ones found on the uni (even the disc
) and yet it seems that it did very good lap times despite being stock :|
damn i have booked my R15
argghhhh
HUGE OT
dear samarth
you see third party support is welcome, but not in way bullish way. First of all do get the fact that if your youtube facts are right so are Joel's statements since he's a track enthu and seriously has experience with lots of bikes (dig up the fiero posts , the 200cc mod and the v - engine mod of the fiero and the supercharger mod as well)
im still ignorant personally to write a review of any of the bikes mentioned in this thread, cause i haven't even touched them even.
unless you happen to have personally ridden all of the bikes you are comparing here, there's no point in posting that info from somewhere else, yet you still post as if you have personally ridden them on a track rigorously and giving out the verdict
you know you have to write in proper wording also.
ill say
all your near and dear ones will die before you.
you will live the long amongst your near and dear ones.
see the difference ? though both are logically the same, the second one sounds much better.
as far as i know , im pretty much sure you arent a SBK rider / analyst/ desginer / engineer or anything of that sort. and posting youtube videos as proof is well say ... leave it.
debates can be much more subtle and in more better manner, rather than rubbing it in the wrong way

Paid a visit to the Honda showroom yesterday&they say they're expecting the CBR150 by March. Also, all vehicles will be incorporated with PGM-Fi soon.

All vehicles with PGM Fi? Won't that increase the costs too much?Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostPaid a visit to the Honda showroom yesterday&they say they're expecting the CBR150 by March. Also, all vehicles will be incorporated with PGM-Fi soon.

@ Xenologic: Ok, I get it now. I just said what I "experienced around the web". Let's wait for a detailed review...

I seriously feel that the mods should lock this thread and open it for discussions sometime later. Instead of us posting speculations after speculations, we have gone to the point of discussing vibrations on a HONDA engine!!! My God, what atrocity

@Mods: Please lock this thread. There is no point in this proceeding along. If you feel that it should not be locked, I request you to appoint someone who has a full-time 24x7 job of monitoring this thread alone!

Samarth, I have to be blunt here. If you are so unhappy with the way you've been treated here at xBhp, nobody's forcing you to be here. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I for one, will look forward to the day when my inbox is not cluttered with reported posts. Threads like these, make the moderators' jobs hell. And it's not like we're sitting on our behinds doing nothing but monitoring each and every thread on xBhp.
This is your last warning. If you do not post within the accepted norms of posting in xBhp, you will face an infraction, or a ban, depending on the severity of the situation.

Today is Feb 20, 2009. Means we can expect these in coming 10 days ?Both the superbikes and the new 125cc bike will be launched before March 2009.
Absolutely correct. All Japanese companies are doing this. Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki. The main ploy is to get brand equity by introducing flagship models into the Indian market so that the common man can associate with them while riding the same brand's commuter bike.Last edited by Shadowfax; 02-20-2009, 11:11 AM.6 Speed Cruising >>--->>--->> Flying In Heaven
