lol 2L? Dude, even the Ninja 250 is close to 3L if I'm not wrong. The Ninja 300 with its new ABS and Assist-Slipper Clutch should be atleast 3.5 L ~ 4 L.

        • One of my FB friend from Hyderabad claims that he booked a ninja 300 yesterday by paying 15k. He added more, ABS version's cost is 3.45lakhs, N300 will get launched in June 2013 and he will get his bike in August. I have no idea whether to trust him or not. If any one here from Hyderabad can throw some light by visiting PBK there...

          • A very nice machine it is. It would be great if someone can shell some more and accurate news of its launch time

            • Confirmed calling Probiking Kanjurmarg - Duke 390 /Ninja 300 will be launched in feb- april 2013. He din't give any price info! But confirmed that after launch it will take 1 months at least for the bike to reach the customer.
Still no clear views of launch dates exactly!! One can expect the bike launch before June 2013.

              • It seems one thing's clear;250r is going to be replaced making way for the 300.But will the ABS version make it with the steep pricing? The 2013 650 doesn't get abs here.
Nevertheless 300 is one HUGE bike.Welcome move.

Are you serious? I thought N650 costs over 5L.

                  • this bike sure looks awesome. 39 bhp parallel twin and sport touring abilities, with good cornering abilities for road. It looks more tempting to me than duke 390 as long as pricing is kept out of equation. I understand all legacy associated with baby ninja, but honestly a slight premium is acceptable for it. By the looks of it I am sure it will be way overpriced. anything over 3 lac OTR and its a certain no deal for me. If Duke 390 is at 2.5 lac and this is 3 lac i will choose this but certainly not if its like 2.5 lac for duke and 3.5 lac for ninja.

Duke 390 will be a naked bike just like the D200 and it will be very light. Its most appropriate for pure urban rides. I'm not sure whether it will be able to give more when it comes to touring or hitting top speeds like the Ninja. And btw, Duke will be a single cylinder while Ninja is a parallel twin.

Ya thats why I said I said its more tempting. but I get a feeling that D390 will not be as short geared and highly strung as D200, by looking at power/torque figures (RPM), and write up about its engine on ktm site. Also 1 lac difference is at least, I guess.

It won't be short geared, but still its lightweight, which will be a bit of a problem at speeds in excess of 150ks as its a naked bike. If its a faired version, there won't be much of a hassle due to the aerodynamics. I've heard that the 390 has TS of 170kph, but I'm not 100% sure. Even if it is true, I think that it will do much better if its faired.

                          • Check out the Kawazaki Z250.. It Looks Wicked...

The street-fighter design cues are borrowed from Z1000 and Z800. The design of Z250 is urban, aggressive, strong & agile. The seating is upright and has a wider handlebar for a comfortable ride.
