That's what I was thinking but its possible. If a 23 bhp 200cc (pulsar 200ns) bike can reach 135-140 quite easily, can't a 300cc bike with approx 3bhp more do 150?? Speculated power is 26bhp

I understand the comparison might not be correct because NS is a street sport bike and this if I am not wrong is a cruiser. I hope you get the point.

Doesn't look like a cruiser to me.. maybe i have the wrong understanding of the term Cruiser..

The pulsar has the worst configured speedometer.. they show so much of deflection from the true speed.. a P200ns riding at 141kmph when i am riding along with him at 131kmph.. i am not saying it cant touch true speed of 140kmph or more.. but i am just saying speedo can indicate even 200kmph.. but the true speed can be determined only with the help of radar guns.. or well calibrated speedometer to show negligible error..

The bike looks good to me.. though the pillion will have a tough time.. cant consider it a tourer after seeing the uncomfortable short seats. Touring bikes need enough luggage space.. doesnt seem like it has it..

If it's a sports cruiser then there is no harm in it, this sports cruiser is also a newer philosophy with sports bike characterstic and cruiser style comfort, like the Ducati diavel.

But, still I personally think that Mahindra could have made the pillion sit a bit longer.

The guy looks extremely huge and probably thats the reason the seat looks small. I could be wrong but logically it is possible...

if that's the case... why does the headlight and tank look HUGE?

it's not because he has small hands.

this is just one horribly designed bike. nothing short of something that should have been a design draft.

Yes really the new mojo if launched with this looks will not appeal to many.... From the front it looks nice still but headlamp assembly looks a bit awkward n huge.
To me, The design of the one which was unveiled before was much better than the new one.
Have a look at the old designs and compare it with the new one.

I guess it was unveiled by Amir Khan at the beginning of 2013 and not the past century mate.
I understand the newly added features, but to me the old design is more attractive than the new one.

Seat is not appropriate. They have around 12 inches of vacant space after seat and according to me they should have utilized atleast another 4-5 inches out of that 12 inches which they havn't.
R15 is based on a totally different design language but bikes like duke200 and mojo are street nakeds and they dont have that 1st floor kinda pillion seat design. Logically they can increase pillion seat area which will surely increase their sales. I have seen so many people who neglect duke just because of its pillion seat and same thing can happen with mojo also.

I am also among the crowd who find this design awkward to say the least. Bug-eyed designs are not the style these days but the spy pic bike doesn't even look like the pics above.

                              Mahindra Mojo:

                              ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Mahindra Mojo 300 was showcased to dealers in Pune recently along with rest of Mahindra two wheelers that are about to launch very soon. Mr. Rajkumar had the fortune of finding a Pune registered Mojo test mule resting to quench its thirst for petrol at Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu.
Spied Mahindra Mojo 300 was not wearing any wriggly black on white camouflage. Black colour Mojo looks almost identical in terms of physical characteristics to the one showcased at 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Mr. Rajkumar managed to take a video of instrument console performing POST (Power On Self Test), in which the unit lights up like a christmas tree. Highlight of that is LED lights on tacho’s circumference trailing the needle point in animation effect. Watch video below:
Instrument cluster has an LCD Multi Function Display backlit in blue colour. It shows basic readings like vehicle speed, odo & tripmeter value, fuel gauge and time. Front dome of Mahindra Mojo 300 has twin headlamps with eyebrow like LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL). Font suspension has USD (Up-Side Down) shocks.
295cc single cylinder engine with Dual Over Head Camshaft (DOHC) on Mahindra Mojo produces 27 bhp max. power at 8000 rpm and 25 Nm peak torque at 6500 rpm, mated to 6 speed transmission. Mr. Rajkumar learned from test rider that Mojo can do top speed of 148 kmph. Bike in pictures is said to be ABS equipped. More on tech specs of Mojo 300 here.
Motor Vikatan claims that Mahindra Mojo 300 will launch in 3 weeks. Rest of Mahindra two wheelers awaiting launch date are G101 scooter, Rodeo UZO 125 scooter, Centuro Disc brake variant, Centuro Rockstar and Mahindra Arro.

                              148 kmph ?? not a bad speed for a naked 300cc producing 27 bhp
