    Re: Mahindra Mojo almost ready

Hmm four valve dohc engine sounds good, but let's see the actual behaviour of the engine when the bike actually comes in the hands of owners, design wise it's ok Mahindra has tried to make the bike stand out in the crowd with dual exhaust in single cylinder, plus with that gold plated usd and swing arm, pillion seat seems to be small in size.

Design is not too bad.. overall I was just not that impressed... Must be just a personal opinion. People will like it though because it looks bulky and has good road presence.

this has got to be the weirdest looking bike i've seen in ages.

looks like a rejected project assignment from an automobile-design school.

        terribly disproportionate design. yikes.

Agree, looks a total disastor to me from Mahindra designers. This bike has been doing rounds from 2010 onwards and still the styling is almost same. Those Mahindra trademark golden ribs (dont know what theya re called) above the engine serve no purpose either.

There was so much to be picked up from Moto3 bikes but unfortunately they are sticking to this alien design. Heck, even the Centuro looks better than this to me!

Better spy pics emerge and it does 150KMPH!!

After spying the Mojo 300 last week, another Rush Lane reader has managed to catch hold of the bike. As per Chetan Gatala, the reader who managed to capture these photos, said that the efforts made by the rider to pull away from being photographed displayed the bikes agility, speed and quick response. He added that the Mojo was easily doing 150 kmph.
From the spy shots, we can see that Mahindra Mojo 300 receives a new fuel tank, twin headlamps, air intakes, LED daytime running lights and Pirelli Sport Demon tyres while it will be powered by a 292cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine with Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) and with electronic fuel injection. This engine will be capable of 26 hp peak power at 8,000 rpm and 25 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

Read more at Mahindra Mojo 300 spied again, this time at 150 kmph

This should seal it. The design sucks. At least in my opinion.

Oh that monstrosity of the headlight cluster!!! An FZ style minimal headlamp would have looked cool.

I like the rear section though. Very supermoto - like

Doesn't a speed of 150 sound too much for this bike?

I think you just pointed out why I didn't like the looks... I feel the rear section is good.. Front is busy and tries too hard..and fails.

That's what I was thinking but its possible. If a 23 bhp 200cc (pulsar 200ns) bike can reach 135-140 quite easily, can't a 300cc bike with approx 3bhp more do 150?? Speculated power is 26bhp

I understand the comparison might not be correct because NS is a street sport bike and this if I am not wrong is a cruiser. I hope you get the point.

The seat looks a bit odd to me! It's too small for the pillion and for a single rider, it's too big.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Mahindra is following duke and r15 on this front. Most of the manufacturers want us to ride alone....
