We defenitely need a law against Jay walking, at least in city limits. We need a law treating all vehicles as equals as long as all these vehicles share the same road or lane. At the same time there should be laws for ensuring safety of the rider/driver, passengers/pillions and pedestrians. For all these we need good infrastructure and public awareness. Good roads are a necessity.

Also rules should be there for riders to wear proper gear, passengers in a car to wear seat belts and all those stuff. How many people here would put on the seat belt when you are a passenger in a car? I know, I do. I'm very concerned about my life. Everyone needs to be made aware about the necessity of putting on safety gear, however puny they may seem to be.
Please excuse my rant...but as a first step, we need a law directing a complete ban on 3-wheelers from using the fast lane/right lane of the road. They should mandatorily stick to the leftmost lane failing which, their licenses be blacklisted and the drivers banned from roads...those 3-wheeled bugs are the worst thing on any road, be it a city road or a highway. Probably BAL and TVS should also be directed to reduce the maneuverability of ricks so that they don't scurry in and out of lanes like cockroaches.

Secondly, people will be people. They will not walk 1km to cross a road if their destination is just 20m across the road. They will jump, crouch or crawl - they will do anything to bypass the barridaces meant to keep them out from high-speed roads, but won't walk the extra distance to use a foot overbridge or underpass. How many people get run over by trains every year, just because they are too lazy to use the foot overbridge? Solution? Elevated expressways? Underground highways?

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

        +1
        The main problem :/

If full geared then must be gonna do something or already done something as per the cops.

Those who made these rules were those in m80 days or maybe the old Indian cycle days. They just cannot change the rules for rules' sake because they are too busy pocketing money.
And go ahead with a 250cc, this is India, even if you fly at 200kmph on a m/c, a Rs.100 fine will be more than enough. Ashamed to be an Indian due to stupid rules that rules all over here.

Last time I heard, you may have to part with 3K INR for overspeeding if you are caught in an interceptor. May be it's just hype.
