Re: Bajaj Pulsar's 2 Super Sport motorcycles: xBhp News
The finish sure makes them look production ready, but then i noticed that the 400SS has regular forks while the 400CS has inverted forks, there is no reason for them to put inferior stuff on something which in all probability would be priced above the CS.Originally posted by temuchin View Postsome websites saying both are production ready. looking at the finish this looks certain.
Also the alloys on the ss are the same as the 200 ns.
I am not convinced that the bike that has been displayed is the 400SS, this in all probability is the 200SS.
Another funny thing i noticed is that the rake angle on the 400 CS is quite different from the conventional nakeds, in fact the angle is similar to the MOJO.
I am attaching a pic of the duke 390 and the 400 CS to illustrate what I mentioned bout the rake angle-

Time to make the move
Good one from Bajaj.
I am sure a lot of Japanese will lose hairs and jobs
I just hope bajaj has done ample test runs and QA work, failure of parts due to quality issues on high power bikes could be deadly.
I will wait for 9-12 months before touching the 400 series, by then the initial hicups would be resolved.Somebody Stop Me.....

Well.. You seem to be more practical. and yup.. looks like that is of a 200SS and not the 400SS..Originally posted by anhil8tr View PostThe finish sure makes them look production ready, but then i noticed that the 400SS has regular forks while the 400CS has inverted forks, there is no reason for them to put inferior stuff on something which in all probability would be priced above the CS.

even the Speedo looks like that of the NS on the SS. Maybe to cut the cost of the SS..

No i mean its an awesome coverup!!!
There were reports of both the 200SS and the 400SS being tested simultaneously, I am just saying they've displayed the 200SS in the garb of the 400SS.
i know it sounds ridiculous but there's nothing that prevents them from doing so.
PS - the 400 test mules reportedly had USDs according to one motoroids report i read a few days ago, i just can't seem to find it now though.respect ma authoritae!!

Those alloys are killer ! And the speedo ! And USDs ! And the ABS ! And Everything Else !
Extra ordinary stuff by all three Indian manufacturers this year. This is an unforgettable Auto Expo about which i will tell my kids.
How i was the witness of the exponential change in Indian two wheeler industry. This Expo is turning out to be just fantastic all the way!***Correct me if I am wrong :)

They could have at least integrated the turn signals into the taillamp assembly. Lots of space wasted there.Originally posted by Ayush41193 View Postlooks stunning!!!!Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Re: Bajaj Pulsar's 2 Super Sport motorcycles: xBhp News
IMO this could be a very clever marketing move by Bajaj, reasons are as follows:Originally posted by anhil8tr View PostThe finish sure makes them look production ready, but then i noticed that the 400SS has regular forks while the 400CS has inverted forks, there is no reason for them to put inferior stuff on something which in all probability would be priced above the CS.

1) the Duke 390 wouldn't have sold as per there expectations, so they've introduced the premium looking Pulsar 400CS, to gain the market which was not covered using Duke, as their are many people(aam janta) who don't know KTM properly & think their quality is inferior compared to Bajaj's.
2) regarding the 400SS the same marketing move is applicable.
Making it as a cheaper product compared to the RC Series & branding it as super sport, will make people(aam janta & posers) go for it.
Whereas the RC Series will be batched as Premium products & will target the market share of Ninja & Hyosung.
& I get a intuition that the 400SS will be priced between 200NS & 400CS

So this was the supposed "new cruiser concept" that was to be unvieled. It was also leaked that it would be diavel inspiredOriginally posted by bbsrailfan View PostThat tail lamp - or rather, the tail section itself on the CS400 is clearly 'inspired' by the Ducati Diavel. Inspired, not copied, mind you.

. And this "cruiser concept" actually turned out to be "cruising sport"(CS400)
Same here. With the current quality and part issues with bajaj bikes, I would rather wait. else I will be spending more time at the svc replacing worn out parts rather than iding the beast.Originally posted by viny View PostTime to make the move

Nice point! Bajaj clearly has to include these blending well with the look of the bike.Originally posted by viny View PostWondering how it would look with those mandatory saree guard, mirrors, number plate and other stuffs.Last edited by Deathmate.Zed; 02-05-2014, 05:08 PM.The way you ride is the way you are..

Re: Bajaj Pulsar's 2 Super Sport motorcycles: xBhp News
I really pray the CS400 isn't the rumoured cruiser. The CS400 is far from a cruiser, and I was really hoping for something to replace the decade-old Avenger!Originally posted by Deathmate.Zed View PostSo this was the supposed "new cruiser concept" that was to be unvieled.
