Even after the prices leaked, many prospective buyers were holding hopes that the leaked prices may be unreal, and the real prices would be lower. I am just wondering why would anyone opt for Inazuma 250 when you have the KTM Duke 200, Duke 390, Kawasaki Ninja 250, 300, The Honda CBR250, and if none of these make any sense, The Royal Enfield 535 Cafe Racer? ) and to make a point that in the ever growing and competitive 250cc+ Indian market, they too have a presence (no matter how small).
Even they are aware that this product won't make a cut and hence have alloted only 2 bikes per dealer. My guess is they will be promoting this as a viable touring option and might launch the semi faired touring model later(though chances are veryyyy slim).
And as far as local production is concerned, sadly that too won't happen because the company will have no reasons to justify investing in local manufacturing considering the pathetic sales numbers.
So yeah, it's a blooper!

Really.. WHAT is their gameplan by pricing it so close to the Kawi Ninjas? I'd still understand them launching a GSXr250 or a 300 for that range but definitely not for this...Comment

The pricing makes this bike look like a big joke. but I believe Suzuki has given seriously reliable engine to this machine.. built to last for years and years. Still this has no place in the Indian market, bound to fail. Good luck with future releases Suzuki.
