Suzuki Motorcycles India launched the Inazuma in a very quiet affair. The much anticipated motorcycle has been launched at a price point that will leave many prospective buyers disappointed. The twin cylinder motorcycle has found as many detractors as it found fans thanks to its conservative styling. But the price at which the Inazuma has been launched will mean that is much more expensive than the CBR 250, but cheaper than the GT 250 and Ninja 300.

In Japanese, the word ‘Inazuma’ denotes lightning that strikes during a thunderstorm. True to its meaning, the design of Inazuma spells electrifying style and substance. The Inazuma’s punchy 250cc engine gives an enjoyable ride in all surroundings and provides a spontaneous feel of fun and excitement from its gutsy low-end and mid-range power output. Its engineering package complements the naked chassis appeal of the bike. With its innovative designs around the cylinder heads, dual chromed exhausts and a distinctively shaped headlight, the Inazuma is a machine aimed at giving bikers more than what they expect.

Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President, SMIL, -

“Suzuki wishes to offer the Indian rider a product at every price point and in every segment. The Inazuma is a practical 250 cc bike that expands Suzuki’s motorcycle portfolio into the premium segment which is showing growth potential. We believe that the Inazuma will be attractive for the youth, college students and motorcycle enthusiasts in metros.”
The Suzuki Inazuma is available in two colours – black & red and is priced at Rs. 3,10,121 (ex-showroom, New Delhi)

Rs. 2L for this machine would have been quite good, but Rs. 3.10L ex. + 20-25k more for OTR, the deal is not good.

Very disappointed with the price. It would have been perfect for a price tag around 2L, I wonder how many takers would be there for this now, Only the ones who cannot resist a Suzuki twin would go for this. Waiting to see it in flesh

Very steep pricing indeed! I am very curious to know what prompted Suzuki to price this 'naked' bike so close to Ninja!

Too steep pricing. I guess this would come to about 3.5 lacs in Bangalore. Way too costly for a 250 CC bike. Totally not worth if you ask me...

Nice, so I guess my Ninja 250R is still worth more than this naked.

Although I would still love to have that dash.

                      ROFL !!! Rs 3L + !!!!
I would to know who is the one you researched the Indian market and analysed to finalize the 3L + bracket for a naked 250 Twins??
Infact of Bitter truth that there is a hooligan in India already in kool pricing with an ABS!! D390!!

Can any one give a single reason why one should go for Inazuma over D390 ?? knowing the fact What capability comes with D390 in a price range of 2.10 apprx !!

I must say why these senior personals are not studying Indian market with open eyes instead of assumptions??

This bike would be so rarely seen in India, that you need to at Bandra, Mumbai to find some one riding with huge biceps and no lid. If you know, whome I mean.
I guess thats the reason for launching it silently. They themself know, there would be no takers.
Any ways, hopefully, it get localised in near future and get its price reduced.

3.10 On-road Delhi! That will be about 3.40 On-road Mumbai! Man, I think the guys at Suzuki were high on weed or something when they decided the pricing.

The pricing is off mark, but I don't think we can compare a naked D390 manufactured by Bajaj to one which is a twin and coming as a CKD. As a matter of fact I feel we cannot compare any bikes pricing to Dukes pricing here in India because the KTM angle of making India a production house for exports skews it largely in its favor and enables it to sell KTM bikes domestically at much reduced prices which are not realistic for others.

That said I think its the looks which killed this bike more than its pricing. The pricing is high but it looks to be an excellent tourer and if the pricing was little reasonable it would have found some serious buyers.
